"As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings happy death." ~ Leonardo da Vinci

Mom crossed late last night, not unexpectedly. She's home, pain free. She and dad undoubtedly instilled my love of puppers, and I chose this Pic accordingly of little mom holding one of hers. by @weatherflute

"Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions." ~ Dalai Lama

I think all is pretty much ready for this weekend's Studio Stroll here in Haywood County. I'm happy about it...it's my Soul's work, after all.

"Written laws are like spiders' webs, and will, like them, only entangle and hold the poor and weak, while the rich and powerful will easily break through them." ~ Anacharsis

A fascinating quote spot on for today...written around 500 B.C.E. More fascinating is he was a Greek outsider, yet the Greeks considered him one of their seven great sages...he possessed wisdom of Greek society, it is thought, because he could see what's wrong with their society better than they could. Hmmm....

Okay, here's a female Spiny Orb-weaver (Gasteracantha cancriformis) that suddenly was sitting by me outside the shop while I oiled a new flute. Sorry if you don't like spiders, but she's beautiful and sat perfectly still while I worked.
and took her portrait. :-)

With a branch flute this size, it's a roll of the dice if I can get a great sound out of it...I'll let you know how that goes...🤞🙏 by @weatherflute

"I have the body of an eighteen year old. I keep it in the fridge." ~ Spike Milligan

I couldn't resist tapping into the Spike Milligan well again. Gorgeous, albeit brief, dawn this morning. From home in the gorgeous Blue Ridge mountains.
