Did you know that “Hack” means ‘creative solution to a computer program’? 👩🏼‍💻 yes, just finished the Hackathon that I was talking about in previous posts, we focused on gender equality but there are of course many different approaches towards making the earth a more sustainable place, and all the teams had great ideas. How do you think AI should be applied to build a more sustainable environment? by @webdeveloper.io

✨Yesterday I gave a general overview of what Agile is and it’s overall benefits for a company.⠀
⠀
⠀
⠀
But Agile isn’t a one size 👢fits all concept. There are different variations of Agile methodologies to fit an organizations 🏢individual needs.⠀
⠀
⠀
📍For example:⠀
⠀
⠀
☕️Scrum - arguably one of the most used agile methodologies. Development in a Scrum environment occurs in cycles called sprints. You’d also do a short daily meetings called the daily scrum to plan the work day, provide updates, and address areas of need.⠀
⠀
⠀
📊Kanban - A Kanban board is used to represent the flow of software production and project progress. As the development evolves the board changes and new “cards” are added. One of the main benefits is the ability to view all tasks related to a project and their status (done, in progress, testing).⠀
⠀
⠀
🚴🏽‍♀️Extreme Programming (XP) - The main goal of XP is to deliver the best quality software possible, it’s very focused on engineering practices. Some of the main practices include small releases, simple design, testing, pair programming, collective ownership, test driven development, etc...⠀
⠀
⠀
🧘🏽Lean - The main goal is to optimize resources, people, and decrease costs. It focuses on short iterations so that the team is able to quickly adapt to changes or unforeseen circumstances. ⠀
⠀
⠀
There are many different kinds of Agile methodologies ⌨️(even more than what I mentioned!) they can be used together or separately. Overall they’re tools🛠 used to improve efficiency and collaboration.⠀
⠀
⠀
🏖Do you use any Agile methodologies at work?⠀
⠀

Another week, hope you guys have enjoyed your weekend😄I have huge progress last week on the project that I'm currently working on.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🔐One of the features that I love to realize was SwitchNavigator's implementation and customizing the navigation according to the auth type.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Let's going to understand what's the purpose of this class of react-navigation.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
📌The purpose of SwitchNavigator is to only ever show one screen at a time. By default, it does not handle back actions and it resets routes to their default state when you switch away. This is the exact behavior that we want from the authentication flow.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
createSwitchNavigator(RouteConfigs, SwitchNavigatorConfig)⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Here is an example of how to use it. Here in RouteConfigs we are going to pass an object that is going to contain the navigation. It's common to use the actual stackNavigation, authComponent, and loading. And the SwitchNavigatorConfig is going to receive the underlying router to modify navigation logic.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
What's your plan for this week?💪🏻⁣⁣ by @webdeveloper.io

Happy Tuesday everyone! After taking some days off from Instagram, I’m back to share more posts with you! First of all, thank you all so much for all the birthday love! 🎂 I’m so touched by all of your sweet messages, I appreciate each and everyone of you ❤️. I spent my birthday weekend in NYC with my family, we went to watched the Lion King at Broadway and had dinner at @piopionyc.

I have a question for all of you, how do you stay healthy? 🤔 While programming isn’t considered a dangerous occupation with a lot of hazards, a surprising number of developers suffer from health issues. Sitting at a desk won't kill you 👩🏻‍💻, but studies have shown that it isn't as healthy as you might think.⁣
⁣
In my case, I like to exercise at home or at the gym, sleep around 7-8 hours 🛌💤, have a good posture while sitting at the desk, disconnected from technology and maintain a healthy diet 🥗. Part of my healthy diet is drinking @teamiblends. I’ve been drinking their detox tea for the past year and it has helped me to get rid of toxins that have been building up making me have low energy, slow metabolism and making me feel bloated. I really love @teamiblends because all of their ingredients are 100% natural 🍃. If you are interested in giving it a try you can use codes CARMENC15 for 15% OFF or CARMENC20 for 20% OFF ✨⁣

👨‍💻 A different kind of "work".
•
🔎 As you may already know, I really like software development and especially mobile related stuff, so I enjoy learning and doing things in this area. However, I'm also trying to explore other fields that may bring me happiness and also challenges.
•
🎥 One of them is videography and it started a long time ago when I got my first phone with a decent video camera, a Samsung Omnia HD. I tried some clips at that time but then my priorities switched to college, programming, fitness, so the video part was left behind.
•
🚁 Nonetheless, this year seemed like a good moment to go back to that. Since I already have a decent static camera on the phone, and I was also fascinated by gadgets and controllable devices, what do you think I did? I bought a drone: Fimi X8 SE, which I'll cover in details it in a dedicated future post.
•
🕑 So, this weekend was dedicated to shooting a few more outdoor clips and putting them together into something nice. What you see in the photo is the editing part, which held me last night until 2AM, but it was totally worth it.
•
💫 What I wanted to say is that "work" shouldn't be only grinding and pushing through unpleasant situations. Work can also be challenging, interesting and enjoyable. Furthermore, we shouldn't limit ourselves to a single field of activity, no matter how much we like it, because variation helps a lot with personal development and life quality in general.
•
🎚 I still like programming a lot, but switching occasionally to something like this can be refreshing, even if it takes hours and days to put things together. I will post the result here soon (it's already posted on @dan_ilies, my personal account).
•
❓ What are your other hobbies and activities besides the regular thing that you're doing almost daily?
•

That hustle after work is where the magic happens. When you’re tired and exhausted, tell yourself to push a little harder, work for yourself, for your dreams.

📱 Still I am working on the registration flow, because I had to problem, what I had to solve, and now it seems to be solved.
.
🔢 The first problem was that I have 6 Fragments for the same ViewPager. When I fetched from the cloud the fresh registered user, I had to store it between the fragments, but during the scroll the data was lost.
.
💡 First I was trieng the EventBus, but it didnt work correctly.
💡 The second solution was to store the user in global variable.
This solved the problem 😉
.
🔢 The second problem was to figur out wich phone settings have to be opend for the battery optimalizations
.
💡 This is also solved 😉

I'm working on some new updates. Yesterday I had a lot of time and developed the Uigitdev application for 12 hours.
.
Many updates will be available in the next version of the application. .
And there will be a gift in the app. But this is a secret. Only owners of the next version will know.

Day{108&109/200}[EN] 🧠 Bill Gates once said ( “Life has a tendency to just happen. But it happens because we make choices. The life you create and design for yourself is going to accumulate from the choices you make over time. Sure, there are unexpected things that can derail dreams. But we can control where we put our focus, and if we choose to put one dream ahead of another.” )
.
Computers are great because when you're working with them you get immediate results that let you know if your program works. It's feedback you don't get from many other things
.
If you've never programmed a computer, you should. There's nothing like it in the whole world. When you program a computer, it does exactly what you tell it to do. It's like designing a machine — any machine, like a car, like a faucet, like a gas-hinge for a door — using math and instructions. It's awesome in the truest sense: it can fill you with awe. ‎ by @webdeveloper.io

My daily dose of HTML, JavaScript and CSS😀
Happy beginning of the week people!
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
While learning, my brain finds it difficult to remember every single detail of a particular topic especially when studying different technologies.
I often find myself reviewing already covered topics to fully grasp their meaning and application. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
My personal approach when encountering new topics is to first watch an introductory video tutorial to get an overall understanding; I find videos very important for my learning process. Successively, I find a really good paper source and try to understand the topic in more details.
Finally, I practice the snippet of code every now and again to keep my brain running.
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
What are your learning methods?
Do you have any interesting ways to grasp new concepts?
