The laughs, the reactions, the hugs, the happy tears, the quiet little interactions that happen naturally throughout the night. You could genuinely feel the love in the air the entire evening. ONE MORE SONG!” When the crowd is having the time of their lives and starts chanting for one more song, you already know we’re going to make that final moment count. 😭🔥 This was one of those nights where you could feel the energy radiating from the dancefloor. Nobody wanted the celebration to end, and honestly, those are some of my favorite moments as a wedding DJ. For the grand finale, we dropped a dance remix of Sweet Caroline. A timeless classic that everybody knows, but with a modern twist that kept the energy high and the crowd fully engaged right until the very last second. To me, one of the biggest differences between an average dancefloor and an unforgettable one is having a DJ who knows how to read the room and work the crowd. It’s not just about playing songs — it’s about creating moments, building energy, and knowing exactly what the room needs. Watching everyone sing together, dance together, and celebrate together was the perfect way to end an incredible night. Your Moments. ♥ Such a fun celebration at the Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel in Richmond. 🤍 One of our favourite things about this wedding was how much the couple made the day completely their own. Their personalities came through in so many little details — including having The Imperial March as part of their grand entrance 😂 Dinner had its own soundtrack too, with anime music mixed throughout the evening, which gave the reception such a personal and memorable feel. And once the dance floor opened… this group was ready. 🔥 We moved through plenty of 90s and 2000s favourites, throwbacks, dance floor classics, and those sing-along bangers where suddenly the entire room knows every single word. Those are always some of our favourite moments — when the music stops feeling like background entertainment and everyone in the room becomes part of it. ⇨ WeddingFX Rewind 080 | Part 2 ⇦ ———— ✨ MAKING THE DANCE FLOOR FEEL LIKE A MOMENT ✨ ———— (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ More Than Music. It’s About the Experience. ♥ One of my favourite parts of DJing weddings is finding those little moments that make the dance floor feel extra special. Sometimes it’s the perfect throwback at exactly the right time. Sometimes it’s switching into a song you know the whole room is about to scream. Sometimes it’s letting a sing-along breathe instead of rushing into the next track. And sometimes it’s just reading the room and knowing when to let the moment happen. My job isn’t just to play music. It’s to help create an atmosphere where people can forget about everything outside of the venue for a few hours, be fully present, and celebrate with the people they love. That means paying attention to the energy in the room, the different generations on the dance floor, what people are responding to, and when it’s time to switch things up. The best dance floors aren’t always the ones with the loudest music or the biggest production. They’re the ones where everyone feels comfortable enough to let loose, sing, dance harder than they planned to, and make memories they’ll talk about after the night is over. That’s always the goal. Not just a playlist. Not just a packed dance floor. ⇨ WeddingFX Rewind 080 | Westwood Plateau Golf Club ⇦ ———— ✨ LOVE, LAUGHTER & A WHOLE LOT OF K-POP ✨ ———— (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ From the First Dance to the Last ♥ Such a fun celebration at Westwood Plateau Golf Club. 🤍 There were so many genuine laughs, happy moments, and little interactions throughout the evening that made it really obvious just how much love there was in the room. There were also plenty of fun activities mixed into the reception, which kept everyone engaged and gave the night such a lively, easygoing energy. And once the music really got going… the dance floor was so much fun. From Kpop bangers, to amazing dance moves, and karaoke sing-a-longs! What differentiates us from others is that we don’t just press play, we set the ambiance and read the crowd to make sure we’re allowing guests to forget everything outside of the venue floor so that they can really focus on being present and celebrate. There’s always something special about watching a dance floor come alive when those instantly recognizable favourites hit, and this crowd was definitely ready for it. From the heartfelt moments to the funny speeches, the activities, the music, and the energy on the dance floor, this one had such a great balance of everything. ⇨ WeddingFX Rewind 079 | Western Front Campground ⇦ 🌲💍 Congratulations to my awesome sister 🤍🥹 (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Wishing you a life time of love and happiness ♥ This one was incredibly special. I had the honour of DJing my own sister’s wedding at Western Front Campground, a place that already holds some of my happiest memories with my own partner and family. Also voluntold my girlfriend to be the MC for the night, so this wedding really was a full family production 😂 So being back there surrounded by family, watching my sister get married, honestly felt surreal. The ceremony by the lake was absolutely stunning, and once we moved into the reception, the whole evening had such a rustic, romantic vibe. And of course… then came the dance floor. We started with all the bangers we knew the aunties and uncles would love, moved into familiar Top 40 that everyone could enjoy, and then later in the night transitioned into EDM and hip-hop. It’s still so awesome to me that my sister is into raving too 😂 One of my favourite moments of the entire night was the final song, Creeds - One Last Breath. Everyone singing their hearts out together, surrounded by family and people we love, was such a warm way to close out the wedding. And once the official party ended… The afterparty definitely didn’t 😂 Things got even sillier from there. ⇨ WeddingFX Rewind 078 | Joy & Randy ⇦ ———— 🤍 FOREVER BEGINS 🤍 ———— (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ A Celebration I’ll Never Forget ♥ This one was different for me, in the best way. I wasn’t there as WeddingFX. I wasn’t behind the DJ booth. I was there as a friend. Joy & Randy have both been close friends of mine for well over a decade, and I’ve known them since the very beginning of their relationship. To finally see them get married after all these years was such a beautiful full circle moment. A couple of my favourite people finally tying the knot 🤍🥹 Their ceremony at VanDusen Heron Lake was honestly emotional for me. I definitely cried seeing them up there together. You could really feel how much love surrounded them, not just between the two of them, but from all of the friends and family who came together to celebrate them. Then getting to continue the night at Fortune Terrace, laugh, celebrate, dance, and just enjoy the wedding as a guest made it even more special. Being on the other side of the experience was also such a nice reminder of why weddings mean so much. It’s not just about the timeline, the music, the speeches, or the dance floor, it’s about being surrounded by the people you love and getting to fully experience a moment you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Joy & Randy, I love you both so much. Seeing the people you’ve grown into and getting to celebrate this chapter with you meant more than I can really put into words.
