The full story behind our recent Vogue feature. Swipe through to discover how we built this iconic wedding look for shaily, as seen in @vogueindia across print, digital, and social.

Boston-based, Gujju bride, Shaily was very clear from the start that every ceremonial piece needed to reflect her values, anchored in sustainability, from working with crafts from her homeland, Gujarat, to investing in a bridal trousseau that would live well beyond the wedding day.

Our styling process began on Zoom, ten months before the wedding, asking questions like, “how do we make this wardrobe journey carbon positive, and how do we partner with creative studios that support artisans at the grassroots level?”

This wedding beautifully demonstrates the sacred relationship a bride shares with her wedding stylist, and just how much trust really matters. Shaily didn’t only see her wedding saree for the first time just days before her wedding, but had also never even tried it on before, because it was a 100% custom-built piece, made entirely for her. So grateful to build this gem of a bridal look for someone who genuinely lived up to what she meant by a sustainable wedding wardrobe. So much love for you love for you @shaiontheway

Send this to a bride-to-be planning her own version of a sustainable Indian wedding, oceans away from home ♥️

Wedding postcards from Puglia. As featured on @wedmegood

Shikha and James cared about fine tailoring and quality craftsmanship over extravaganza and royalty treatment. An Australian origin couple who planned a beautiful fall wedding that fused local flavours with enthusiasm. Picture a pizza party for a welcome dinner and a dreamy day ceremony in a quaint villa in Puglia, Italy. Personal shopping for a bride and a groom is all about getting to know the little things that make them smile without thinking twice. Something thats almost second nature. Unspoken yet deeply valued.

Being a wedding stylist, we strongly believe that styling cannot be forced or templated. It’s a feeling thats natural, not manufactured. One theme that stood out to us quietly while shopping with the couple was chivalry. Still remember when James would open the car door for us like a gentleman or let us enter a store first. It tells you so much about what a person is really like. Back to Delhi summer of 2024. Hot afternoons, luxurious textiles and gorgeous Victorian facades of the Kila.

We curated a wedding trousseau that celebrated timeless functional couture built mindfully. Dressed in India’s legacy and contemporary drapes by @anamikakhanna.in and @dhruvvaish

P.S: chivalry so beautifully captured by @storiesbyjosephradhik Luxury wedding styling, wedding stylist, personal shopper, personal stylist, styling services, cultural fusion, Australian bride and groom, italian wedding, puglia, destination wedding, pastel wedding look, couture, mint green sherwani, pastel sherwani, pastel saree, pastel pink saree, luxurious textiles, NRI bride and groom, couture, timeless, ethereal bride, dreamy bride, minimal look, magical wedding, wedding saree, fine jewellery, wedding jewellery, modern bride, indian wedding, vogue weddings, vogue brides Australia, vogue india taken in Puglia, Italy by @weddingwardrobestyling

every bride who has worked with us started exactly where you are right now, on a page, wondering if this is worth it.

working with a wedding stylist is one of the most personal relationships you’ll have through this process. it works when the understanding is mutual, the vision is shared, and you feel safe enough to say exactly what you want. the only way to know if that’s there is to actually talk. which is why the first step is always a 15-minute discovery call, not a DM, not a comment thread. we walk you through how the process works, how it can be tailored to your situation, your events, your timeline, your family. no two weddings look the same and neither does how we work.

this is your chance to meet the stylist who will actually be in the room with you, see how she thinks, how she listens, whether the conversation feels like a space where you can say exactly what you want without having to justify it. this call is how you decide if it’s the right fit.

💌 and if someone you know has been sitting on this question, send this their way.

booking link in our bio.

with intention, always.

how to patola in reverse. except this time, it’s the father of the bride. let’s unbox his grahshanti look.

everyone at a Gujarati wedding is going to be wearing patola at some point. it is practically the dress code. so the question we asked Mayur uncle was this. do you want to blend in and wear what your guests will, or would you rather be the host who stands out?

we were not saying no to patola. we were asking, should we think differently? and he agreed.

so we took this iconic traditional weave and translated it into subtle hand embroidered details. present in the finer details of his dupatta. not announced from across the room. quiet luxury, served. spotlighting the multicolour beadwork of Kutch in Gujarat. inspired by the classic patola motifs, the parrots, elephants and flowers from ikat, all in their signature style. the idea, untouched. just the way it shows up, flipped.

as wedding stylists, working with craft-led families who are equally driven to experiment is a rare joy. and this father walked in with a clear brief and meant it. not just fashion curious, but genuinely invested in dressing with intention. not just a dhoti kurta. an ensemble that was carefully considered. the colours. the crafts. the culture.

if you know family styling was never meant to be an afterthought, this one is for you. because it is as much his day as yours. gift your dad a look he will cherish forever.

Heirlooms are having their main character moment — here’s how >>>

Our Bangalore based Telugu bride @manisha.bandla wore her late mother’s wedding saree to her Pradhanam 🪷 Looking back, being ‘Gujjus’ we feel incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to style a South Indian bride. This is a true testament to how AESTHETICS have a love language of its own which sees no borders 💖

Our Vision (Scroll for full feature)
Ode to bride’s late mother + Celebrating heirlooms and family traditions + Goddess Lakshmi as a Bride+ Glorious Kanjeevarams

Working on this particular look made us realise as stylists that, more than personal style, heirlooms individualise the wedding ensemble—be it a sari passed down from your mother or a neckpiece from your dadi’s trousseau. Heirlooms are the future! The right heirloom can transform any look, and this mood has evolved from best supporting actor to star of the show, in all its glory.

Heirlooms our bride wore >>>
🪷 fully pleated ruby and emerald saree is her late mother’s wedding saree (our personal favourite styled touch)
🪷 pearl+ruby necklace is from her grandma’s wedding set from 52 years ago
🪷 emerald necklace and the gold step chain underneath belonged to her late mother
🪷 traditional Andhra signature, V- shaped emerald ring is her grandma’s engagement ring
🪷 gold rings on both her index fingers belonged to her late mother
🪷 diamond rings on her middle fingers were gifted to her by her parents
