*RENDERED* / Cairo, Egypt, in 2025 Last week it was a graphic designer building the visual identity of Palestinian rap. This week it’s Mahmoud Wed (@wedislit), a Cairo-based film director and co-founder of @righthand.films who’s been putting Arab artists in the right frames. Artists he’s worked with include @tul8te, @mosalemmusic, @ziaddzaza and @afrotomusic. Every project is built from scratch; a different world, a different approach, a different outcome. He’s not a director who shoots what he’s told. He’s one who understands the artist well enough to build something around them that they couldn’t have described themselves. Cairo has always had this kind of talent. Mahmoud Wed is just one of the people proving it exists and putting it on screen. by @wedislit

Latest as a director in LAYALINA music video for @tul8te Basically the song is emotional and faraway from rap genre . So i decided that we will do something different and make 90% of the video beautiful static shots that makes the viewer feel and concentrate more on the emotions that the song brings. -DOP : @theshokz -Post Editor : @mahmdghorab Colorist : @qatoshness -Photography and BTS : @adrygraphy -Camera Share media Sultan Kareem @rrh.creation by @wedislit

Lately, I’ve felt like life’s been upside down. But every day brings something new, and I keep learning. The biggest lesson I’ve learned recently is that sacrifice isn’t wrong… if you’re sacrificing for the right place. And even the biggest effort means nothing if it’s given to the wrong one. Life is incredibly fascinating, and I'm still on this journey, still discovering, and I’ll keep discovering. by @wedislit
