Another great workshop at @westend_dj last night for our @wedj.show series. I was very happy to bring in @onda.saoco as guest tutors who are officially part of the @ontherisedjacademy family. Ussually we do about 45 tickets and about about 15/20 people come.. that’s the standard. Not last night. Everyone turned up, so @anaisabela.iii surgested creating a 2nd DJ set up to split the group so everyone was able to get on.One of the biggest workshops we have done in that space. For sure. It was a little sweaty in there last night. Thanks again to @onda.saoco and everyone that came! You all killed it. by @wedj.show

We are super happy to announce we have a run of workshops for the rest of the year focusing on the over 40’s. We are going to be picking a participant from each of the workshops to get a training course at @ontherisedjacademy with @terry_hooligan Then you will get to play a set at the big @wedj.show at the end of the year which your new skills. We have specialised the workshops for particular genres. - Hip Hop- Jungle - Garage - Old SkoolThese are all free workshops and the tickets for the first one, the Hip Hop edition are up now. I loved taking part in this panel. Motherhood in DJ’ ing at @wedj.show last year. I certainly felt I had a lot to offer. Being a DJ Mum to a newborn/toddler/child/teen brings a specific set of challenges .When I was out DJing during the early years , people would often ask me - where my partner was - and ask if he was baby sitting! No I’d say , he is being the other parent. Ross and I are like the sun and moon orbiting our son.I support his career dreams and he supports mine. He works week day , day times as do I - and my front facing active role happens weekend night times.We make it work to support each other and show our son that everyone is equally supported to make their dreams a reality. Brilliant host - brilliant panelist’s too And I made so great friends .Taking part in this panel and meeting these brilliant women actually changed the course of my career in such a healthy way.@_dj_emma_ @itsfionahall @itsydlr @sarahrushtonread@mini_da_minx @terry_hooligan @westend_dj by @wedj.show
