A dark, romantic autumn dream at The Loft on Broadway. 🥀🕯️ Sarah and Nathan intentionally crafted a wedding that felt profoundly authentic, cozy, and deeply personal, blending autumnal richness with stunning gothic-astrological touches. Before their intimate, candlelit ceremony, they shared a quiet, grounded moment, exchanging private vows while standing back-to-back. Sarah glowed in a layered lace-and-tulle dress, natural makeup, and a beautifully twisted half-updo. Nathan perfectly embraced the mood in a burgundy suit and floral dress shirt, while his groomsmen wore dark gray with ties matching the bridesmaids’ fall tones. The reception space glowed with dark hues and endless candlelight. Tables featured oracle deck numbers, stacked books, bud vases, and trailing greenery. From a pet treat favor bar and an audio guestbook to a stunning cake detailed with frosted florals, the night felt entirely their own. Swipe through to step inside the magic of Sarah and Nathan’s perfectly moody fall celebration and find more on the blog! 🖤🍂✨ Venue & Day-Of Coordination: @theloftonbroadway Photographer: @ampersandphotographyllc Florals: @solawoodflowers Dress Boutique: @strikebridalbar Menswear: @studiosuits Hair & Makeup: @lucentskycreations Jeweler: @powersjewelry_mke Catering: @irenescateringservice Cake: @whisk.chick Dessert: @samsclub Ice Cream: @purple.door DJ: @luckydjs20 Stationery: @theknot Rentals & Decor: @joann_stores Couple: @_sarahmik_ & @nmik06 ______________________ #romanticfallwedding #fallweddinginspo #fallwedding #milwaukeewedding #romanticweddinginspiration by @wedplanmilwaukee
There is something incredibly magical about rich velvet details for a fall wedding. ✨ Warm lighting, wooden floors, and sculptural florals create a beautifully fresh, holiday-forward take on seasonal style at the historic Mercantile Hall in Burlington, WI. The inspiration includes four gorgeous bridal looks, highlighting neutral-glam makeup and clever removable accessories perfect for autumn and winter celebrations. For the reception, the vision unfolds across two unique tablescapes: 🍂Airy & Organic: Deep burgundy calla lilies, branches, and fruit as decor paired alongside a fruit-garnished white cake. 🍷Intimate & Lux: A rich burgundy velvet tablecloth, glowing candles, white plating, and a white cake accented with pine and winter berries. It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the news of our beloved Dawn Evert’s passing. Dawn was more than a WedPlan team member and lifelong best friend of Dana Gee, she was a helper, an incredible mother, and always showed up with a positive attitude and a smile—even while facing a diagnosis no one is prepared to hear. In addition to being our office manager, Dawn’s unofficial WedPlan titles included Emotional Support Expert, Food Orderer & Delivery (a crucial part of styled shoot days), and Silly Message Sender. Dawn will always hold a special place in our hearts. Today, we want to honor her bright spirit through just a handful of moments over the years. Please keep Dawn’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time. Service information is available online for those who would like to leave a message or send flowers, as we know many of you have worked with Dawn over the years. by @wedplanmilwaukee
The making of an urban masterpiece. 📸🌆 Here’s a peek behind the lens at how the “Color Outside the Lines” editorial came together. Watch as the glam team perfects those loose, layered 80s waves and modern makeup, see the vibrant florals staged against the industrial space, and catch the experimentation with smoke bombs to get the ultimate lighting effects. It takes an incredible team of creatives to balance “playful” with “sophisticated,” and watching it all click together on set is the best part! Color Outside the Lines. 🎨⚡ ️ This is what happens when you take modern wedding design and inject it with urban artistry and unapologetic color. Every detail was curated for the edgy, playful couple: striking stationery, a bride rocking delicate lace with a matching choker and an iconic 80s pink lip, and a groom serving multiple elevated looks, starting with a classic white jacket. But the real showstopper? A three-tier silver graffiti cake covered in words of affirmation, paired with Cowboy David’s signature cake-cups. 🍰 Are you choosing bold florals or the graffiti cake?
