The CPF volunteers have been busy this season keeping all hippos and visitors safe from harm.

Its been a pleasure to speak to so many wonderful visitors to our town and explain about the hippos and their nightly strolls, all the while advising how to keep safe and behave around the wildlife in our town.

Tonight's drive was magical, made more so by the people stopped respecting this beauties boundaries, pulling over, engines off and just watching her eat dinner.

This mamma looked like she was almost ready to have her baby.

(Shot on a fuji XF 250mm lens from a safe distance)

I've been a little busy with proper work that I've not been posting! I hate how meta tells you off for not daily posting! As well as many clients who don't want their images online, which is understandable.

So here is one of my favourite portraits, taken of a wee boy at the fruit market (and authorisation to post given from his Goko)
