Ab 6 years ago staying in the Mojave desert learning autonomous living for the first time, you embodied it as a muscle it was like you had always been living that way. I remember feeling like I’ve never felt this free before. And you being like, babe we’ve always been this free. U were so that- freedom as an everyday, a way of being, as choice. U were the desert then and u are the desert now, ancient and new.
your absence is fucking brutal, aging without you here is fucking brutal. And I still hear baby u cheering baby me on to keep going, to go get free. Everyday is for u. And I know you’d be like it’s for all of us and thats what I’m trying to live by. U give me so much to move with. Mahal kita láwû shukraan shukraan to infinity to the depths of every void and every expanse we miss u so much I’ve struggled with the words they come forward as shards of glass but it’s the music first, the care, our family and the strangers, the daily revolution, i meet u there. You are as alive as our fight and you will still grow old

🖤⛓️Are you into sonic waves that send you to another place!? Sure know we are! ⛓️

Come be transmuted by Imminent Burial Thursday 6/16

Imminent Burial is a carnal and sonic grief ritual reckoning. They combine experimental electronic sounds, noise making, raw voice, found objects, and earth material as ceremonial performance for the ancestors, martyrs, and the living fighters. They are based in Oakland, CA.

BENEFIT SHOW FOR @earthfirstjournal

saturday, june 13th 7pm-12am
@tamarackoakland

featuring live acts by
BODYWORKBODYWORK (OAK)
HAVING CHILDREN (OAK)
PRIDE MONTH BARBIE (LA)
IMMINENT BURIAL (OAK)

music, food, vendors, and more! raising funds for diff mutual a1d projects

“This year’s EF! BIPOC Spoke is looking to build our coalition! We have entered into unpredictable times, with political repression no longer acting underneath a facade. While we recognize the fraught history of EarthFirst!, we want this to be an opportunity for world building and a practice in self-sufficiency. All forms of struggle ultimately spring from the desecration of the earth and the prevention of oppressed peoples from living with interdependance and dignity with land. We want to include those who work in all modalities with the land, including farmers, spiritualists, herbalists. We ask for cautious trust in the potential of the network as a channel for connection with likeminded people and site for cultural shifts as the collective expands and changes.

If you are interested in coming, we are currently fundraising for BIPOC travel funds to help with travel.“ by @weedmubarak

You stab me but it’s only you who feels pain..
I’m so sorry you feel that way.

Undammed and free the river echoes on the concrete. From dust we come from,
To dust we return.

Decaying petals,
singed fingers both
rotting thru the lace.
Bruises on the fruit
Where
tenderness can bloom.

Dignity is more important than life -
What does our flesh mean alone ?
You can pierce my flesh
and take nothing from the love that created me,
Take nothing from why I live,
Take no detail from my dreams

You can’t take what
The world has already taken
I won’t pity my burden
As I fall
Into this
Pit of flesh…
