I believe that we humans forget that we too are animals, that coexist with other animals. The idea of balance is to begin and replicating what works for the bees. In fact, they are our design sphere.
Fun fact:
The vast majority of plant species-- almost 90%, in fact-- rely on pollinators to reproduce.

Bees are vital for the preservation of ecological balance and biodiversity in nature. They provide one of the most recognizable ecosystem services, which is what makes food production possible. By doing so, they protect and maintain ecosystems as well as animal and plant species, and contribute to genetic and biotic diversity.
Use #wdc187 on your post to participate.

#repost • @roshanhakkim The @weeklydesignchallenge team was kind enough to pick the topic I suggested for #wdc186. Instead of churning out a sketch I thought of exploring another technique to communicate the idea of us striking balance. Using @procreate animation assist I was able to churn out this little 6fps animation. Added a small punch of audio in the background to express the clash between nature and industrialization. Except audio all work done in Procreate on iPad Pro. Not rendered in Keyshot of course. 😂

#repost • @cune.designs Greener roofs on big cities. It is often difficult to create new green areas in the middle of big cities due to the lack space. So why not use the roofs of buildings to create mini forest. Here the neighbours from that building can have a common area to enjoy nature. Entry for #wdc186

#repost • @adammiklosi_design Biodegeadable pre-planted modular Miyawaki forest boxes empowers you to plant tiny-forests along a playful honeycomb grid. You can align to the topography or create a new one by combining various type of boxes. Fast growing mini forests inspired by japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki are growing in popularity in Europe as means to restore biodiversity and fight the climate crisis. It aims to bring native forests the size of parking spaces to urban areas by planting different species of trees in it generating a more diverse ecosystem, opposed to the individual trees we often see today.
How would you incorporate a mini forest into your local urban scenario?

Thank you @roshanhakkim for suggesting this week's theme!

#repost • @roshanhakkim I got counter striking again this weekend after months. What started off as a loose doodle on paper while playing ended up getting a revamp on the iPad.
.
Waterbrella is a first thought at sun shades being a water funnel to collect water beneath underneath the skin of a table top. The collected water can ofcourse be used by means of an outlet. Such a great topic from @weeklydesignchallenge for #wdc185. But I must say the highlight was the fun chit chat we had today while this was being done over IG live. Thanks a lot for hanging out.
