Wee MAS but don't underestimate me. 100% Australian Shepherd! On an adventure w/ Mah who is kinda bossy & tells me what to do all the time. Love it!

Mah says fall is my season. 🤔 🍃 🍂 by @weelassmas

Seems I have a new regular job. I ❤️ it! 🐾 #miniatureamericanshepherd #herdingdogs #gogetters #canadageese by @weelassmas

Herding Canada Geese is fun. I hear some dogs get paid to do this but I do it for free. Actually, this was my first time. Mah saw a big flock at the Ravinia Festival West Park and told me “go get ‘em!” Guess she thinks I know English but I’m still uploading. Of course, herding is not chasing creatures out but when it comes to geese, that’s what it is. In any event, I figured it out. What fun! Hope to do it again soon! 🐾. #miniatureamericanshepherd #dogslife #herdingdogs #canadageese by @weelassmas

I don’t know why Mah likes to torment me but sometimes I think she does. Of course, she thinks I’m tormenting her because she bought this squeaky toy so we can play tug. Why do humans always want to play tug? Why would any human want to pull apart the long squeaky squirrel within. Leave it alone, I say!

Of course, if any of you have any recommendations of how Mah can do a better job of getting me to play with the squirrel (ok, to play tug), let us know. I know that if she doesn’t make the squirrel cry out, that would be a good start. 😜🤣🐾

PS Mah would like to know, does your MAS howl, too?

#miniaussies #MiniAmericanShepherds #dogtoys #howling #dogslife by @weelassmas

I’m a little embarrassed that Mah took this video. I have this thing. Reverse sneezing. Before I went home with Mah, my previous family told Mah not to be surprised if it happened, and that it is not a problem, it is just part of who I am. “Also known as paroxysmal respiration, reverse sneezing is a relatively common event which causes many dog owners to believe that their dog is in respiratory distress.” Frankly, it is a bit distressing for both of us but it usually only lasts a few seconds to a minute. Do you have a dog with reverse sneezes? Here’s a good link to understanding it: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/riney-canine-health-center/canine-health-topics/reverse-sneezing. #reversesneezing #ImOK #miniamericanshepherd #takecare by @weelassmas

Let’s put it this way, I like my naps. Mah finds it amusing that I like to cover the air return in the family room, next to the wastebasket. She says that when she was toddler, her mother put a print on the wall called “In Disgrace” by Bessie Pease Gutmann. She looked at the print every day as a little girl, and the print went with her to her home as an adult. So she bought the wastebasket, as the original print was later destroyed. When she first saw me sleeping next to the can, she suddenly realized why she knew, from the moment she saw my photo, that she wanted me to be with her always. I dunno. Do you understand why? In any event, in honor of me, she bought a replacement print for her wall. Some things are meant to be.

#miniatureamericanshepherd #letsleepingdogs #naptime #memoriesforlife by @weelassmas

Humans! Why can’t they just appreciate class A raccoon poop?! I heard Mah muttering something like, “I don’t have time for this today,” and the next thing I know, I’ve been dognapped and am in the shower. Then she’s muttering, “raccoon poop smells the worst! Ugh!”I really didn’t want to smell like an orange. So I took my frustration out on Lamb Chop. Had to clean her up, too. BTW, can’t wait to find the raccoon poop again! #miniaussie #raccoonpoop #dogbath by @weelassmas

Another road trip to Ellison Bay! A couple of stops along the way, Manitowoc and Two Rivers, and the Sister Bay Marina. We’ve been together for 7 months and we’ve been here enough times for me to recognize these places. They told Mah I get car sick, but she says I’m a trooper! And, this trip, I saw my first lunar eclipse! Of course, that was in Ellison Bay and that feels like home. #miniatureamericanshepherd #doorcounty #sisterbay #tworivers #manitowoc by @weelassmas

Did I mention how much I loved running the beach in New Buffalo? Ruh-roh, no dogs allowed on the beach! But I’m special, so special…(how’s that for an earworm?). And I love the sand in my 🐾, the wind in my ears. #newbuffalomichigan #aussieshepherd #miniamericanshepherd #dogslife #beachlife by @weelassmas

What’s all this stuff I’m seeing on my walks? Mah just keeps saying something about a fungus among us. It’s been a rainy, humid summer. BTW, no dogs were harmed in making this video. Can you ID these shrooms? #mushrooms #miniaussie #miniatureamericanshepherd #dogslife by @weelassmas

Let’s just call it a Green Day. The grass was mowed and somehow my white socks were dyed green! The neighborhood was as green as can be! #miniaussie #dogslife #miniatureamericanshepherd #mowthelawn #greenpaws by @weelassmas

Mah says this puzzle is so difficult even she had trouble loading it the first time. This is the second puzzle she bought me and, yes, it is much tougher than the first but I figured it out. Ok, with a little, very little help.

Mah says hardly anyone will watch me do this puzzle from beginning to end -- it took me about 3 1/2 minutes. I told her, who wouldn't want to watch me? She said, a fair number of people.

Smart dogs need to be challenged. Is yours?
