This episode saw the return of Amanda from podcast maternity leave! She, along with Beezy and Bartender, first discussed another return, of the unfortunate kind, of measles. Why is this once "extinct" disease back wrecking havoc, and are you fully protected? Next the group touch on Taylor Swift's appropriating ways, this time in the form of her Billboard Awards performance, which was similar in many ways to Beyonce's Coachella performance. Coincidence or not? Lastly, the DIBSers talk about the case of Castor Semenya, who, along with other women, is now required to take drugs that reduce her natural testosterone in order for her to compete? Is this fair or unfair to Semenya and her counterparts? Listen, enjoy, share, subscribe, follow, like, and love!

It's our 25th episode! Contest coming soon, so stay tuned! In this one, Beezy, Lotus, Mieka, and CO discuss the story of the Houston high school that instituted a dress code for parents, and the uproar that followed. We would love to hear your thoughts on this issue. They also talk about presidential candidate and mayor Pete Buttigieg's position that incarcerated persons should not be allowed to vote. Do you agree or disagree? Finally, the DIBSers talk about Kate Smith, whose rendition of God Bless America has been banned from being played at stadiums because of prior racist songs that she recorded. How much should past bad behavior color current society's thoughts and feelings on people? Listen, love, share, comment, follow, and enjoy! by @wegotdibs

The gang then gets into Beyonce's Homecoming, and their feelings and reactions to the documentary. Finally the DIBSers rap up with the story on Howard University and its recently contentious relationship with D.C. neighborhood residents. Tune in, share, follow, comment, like, love, and enjoy!

The Mueller Report has been released. Have you read it? Should it all be made public? Was AG Barr's press conference before it's release necessary or simply a "commercial" for Trump? What does it mean for Trump, if anything?

Episode 23 - R.I.P. Nip, Three Acres and a Mule, and Family Matters

This episode, the DIBSers welcome back Bartender from maternity leave! She, Lotus, CO, and Beezy first discuss the funeral for Nipsey Hussle, and his lasting impact and legacy on the culture. Next, the group touches on the issue of reparations for African-Americans, which is being actively discussed by universities, presidential candidates, and many others. Do we still need reparations, and if so, in what form? Lastly, the gang debates the issue of whether a father of newborn twins, working 12-hour days, should be able to sleep overnight while the mother cares for the children. Should he suck it up, or does he deserve some TLC too? Check us out! Share, follow, like, love, and enjoy!

In this episode, Beezy, Lotus, Mieka, and CO discuss Cardi B's old IG video in which she reveals that she used to drug and rob men when she was working as a stripper. Should we cancel her, or is this par for the course in the rap game? Next, the group gets into the neverending story involving Jussie Smollett, this time with the twist of his charges being dropped. What does it all mean legally and otherwise for Jussie, and how do we feel about him now? During our Quick Picks segment, the DIBSers send their condolences to the family and friends of Nipsey Hussle, who was tragically killed in Los Angeles. They also touch on the story of Dr. Dre's daughter being admitted into USC "on her own," after he made a sizable donation to the school. #VarsityBlues all over again? In this week's episode, Beezy, CO, Mieka, and special guest Cool Breeze first discuss the news of Attorney General Barr releasing a summary of Special Counsel Mueller's investigation report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. Do we trust the summary? What's next as it pertains to the Mueller report and future elections? And should we be worried? Next, the group talk about Tim Allen (Home Improvement, Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story) and his demand to use the N word. Is he cancelled, or even relevant to begin with? How do you feel about the use of the word by white people, or anyone? The DIBSers also tackle the news of the reported amount from the settlement between the NFL, and the side of Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid. Do you trust the report? If so, does the amount change your opinion on Kaepernick and Reid? What's next for Kaepernick? We also do Quick Picks (including March Madness) and Hit It or Quit It, so tune in, enjoy, share, like, love, subscribe, and comment!

We took a Spring Break last week, but we’re back this week for your listening pleasure! In this episode, Beezy, Lotus, CO, and Mieka recap Beezy and Lotus’ trip to Trinidad for Carnival. Next, they hit on two topics dealing with #AffluentAction: the college admissions scandal involving Aunt Becky and other rich individuals, and the news that marijuana sales are set to be approved in the state of New Jersey. The gang discusses their surprise (or lack thereof) as it relates to the admissions fraud and bribery charges, their feelings on whether they would pay for their kids to get into the best schools if they had the money, and the contrast to the strategies employed, and stigma gained, by black and brown people when attempting to ensure their children receive the best education. They also talk about their opinions on the legalization of marijuana, including whether they’re for or against it, the necessary requirements by states when passing laws on the sales and distribution of weed, and the hypocrisy of it all when considering the number of black and brown people who have been jailed for the substance. Finally, during a new segment called Quick Picks, the DIBSers explore a variety of topics, including Leaving Neverland, and the Christchurch and Ethiopian Airlines tragedies. As always, check us out, share, follow, like, love, and enjoy!

We're hitting on topics big and small in this episode! First, Beezy, Lotus, CO, and Quiet Storm discuss Bernie's entrance into the 2020 race, and what it means for him and the Democratic party's hopes for the presidency. Next, the group hit on two underreported stories:

Tamla Horsford and the questions surrounding her death at an adult sleepover, and Christopher Hasson, the Coast Guard domestic terrorist with a hit list of prominent media figures and Democratic politicians. The drama continues with Jussie Smollett, and the gang discusses the narratives now being built around his story, i.e. is his story comparable to others, should we still feel sorry for and defend Jussie, and should we even trust CPD? Lastly, the DIBSers discuss R. Kelly's long awaited arrest, and the story of Hoda Muthana and her desire to return to the U.S. after leaving to join ISIS. Jam packed, and entertaining as always! Like, love, share, follow, and enjoy!

Next, the group discusses Monique's appearance on Steve Harvey's talk show, and whether integrity and money are mutually exclusive. The gang then discusses Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid's collusion settlement with the NFL, and what it means for their futures. They wrap up the episode with an update on the Jussie Smollett case, and whether we still believe his story. Check us out, and share, follow, like, love, and enjoy!
