A family. A brotherhood. A team. I couldn’t be more grateful for the people who stand beside me through every high and low moments, those who make the ordinary moments into memories. Can’t say enough about this team, I love all these guys to death and can’t wait to see what is in store for the future. Special shoutout to Clay and Colton you guys truly are amazing people and you will truly be missed next year. Just the start of the journey, though it has been a tough road, I’m ready to keep improving and chasing the dream everyday. Bleed green and go Phoenix! 💚💚 by @weiland_cameron

Today marks my last day of practice for the season, and I can’t help but reflect on how far I’ve come. Freshman year wasn’t easy—but it shaped me. After back-to-back DNFs, I felt broken, lost, and like I had failed everyone—including myself. But through the lowest moments, my teammates, family, and coaches never stopped believing in me. Their love reminded me I wasn’t alone. With time, support, and a lot of chicken and rice, I found answers, set a new PR in 5k, and discovered my purpose in psychology specializing in sport leading me to switch my major. I’ve never been more grateful for the people beside me. This chapter ends with growth, resilience, and love. Super grateful for this opportunity and I can’t wait for what is in store for Phoenix country. Three more to go—let’s win a trophy next fall. 💚⬆️ by @weiland_cameron

Thank you Lakeside track for the memories and the opportunities to perform at the best of my ability. Thank you to family, friends, and the team for helping me get better over the last 4 years. Most importantly thank you to God for blessing us throughout the season because with God all things are possible. This year was a great year for team over 11 school records, a state championship, and state division 2 record in points (81). But as one chapter closes another opportunity arises. It is time to get to work for UWGB cross country this fall. by @weiland_cameron

What great season but what makes the season great is the group of people around you. I am so thankful for these guys and memories we shared with each other throughout the season. This weekend was a great way to cap off the year. This is a brotherhood that will last forever. Best teammates I could ever ask for and thank for making everyday fun. Big thank you to Nate we missed you this weekend, but thank you for making the season great. by @weiland_cameron

Thank you Lakeside cross country for the many thing you have taught me throughout my running career. You have taught me to set a goal and go out there and chase it. I have made it to state 4x times in my career. Team has made it 3x times in my career and I hope this tradition continues for years to come. Now on this year though I fell short of my goal individually at state this team became state champions. Proud of this team and what we accomplished this year. Now let’s go run it back in the spring.
