The day has came "tough times never last, but tough people do. " this was one of my favorite quotes shared today during our graduation ceremony. First I would like to thank God🙏 then to all my family, friends and UNM for your amazing support and the wonderful memories you all have given me.

Special thanks to my mom for always loving me and raising me to be fierce. Thank you to my cousin Amlesom with his wife Luchia. My coach/ Agent @haasruns #teamtotal, former college coaches friends and everyone who supported me to this point.

Most importantly I would like to thank @uarunning for being patience and supporting me while I finished my degree. Last but not least I would like to thank my former high-school coach's, teammates and their families because they were there when my journey in the states started. You guys are amazing! I hope you feel proud today to see me graduating with BSPH and minor in community health. Thank you so much for the treasured memories and loving support throughout my education and athletic career.

USA Track & Field has announced its team for the 2026 World Athletics Road Running Championships, set for September 19-20 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Three American record holders headline the squad across the mile, 5K, and half marathon disciplines.

The women’s half marathon team has been confirmed after the lead vehicle went off course with just over a mile remaining, misdirecting several athletes at the USATF Half Marathon Championships. scoring will be limited to American record holder Weini Kelati and the three athletes who were misdirected –Jess McClain, Emma Grace Hurley, and Ednah Kurgat.

The top three finishers at the U.S. Championships — Molly Born, Carrie Ellwood, and Annie Rodenfels — will compete under a special World Athletics exception but are ineligible for medals or prize money, though performances count toward rankings points.

Always late to the party with my posts! Barcelona was amazing. I went for it from the start and I thought I was going to run much faster as we hit some fast pace most of the race but it didn’t happen. I am really happy that I was able to lower my time though! QUEEN OF THE HALF 👑

@weini_kelati resets her own American record in the half marathon with a 66:04 runner-up finish in the 2026 Barcelona Half.

American women have only run six sub-67s ever on record-eligible courses, and Kelati now has three of them (#1, #2, and #4). taken in Barcelona, Spain by @weini_kelati
