A timeless retreat rooted in the character of coastal Maine. 🌊 Set on a wooded property overlooking the harbor, this custom home by Peter Zimmerman Architects (@peterzimmermanarchitects) was carefully positioned around a deeded view easement, established trees, changing sunlight, and the rugged shoreline. Explore the full home in our link in bio and see how every detail was designed to feel like it belongs at the shoreline. 🌲 The design features sweeping rooflines, cedar shingles, a granite foundation, layered porches, expansive windows, and living spaces arranged to maximize views from every angle. Inside, Wein Interiors (@weininteriors) brings the landscape in through soft color palettes, organic patterns, water-glazed white oak, Namibian Sky honed marble, and a bespoke mural by Maine artist Dean Barger (@deanbarger) Outside, a glazed porch with retractable windows and screens and a covered porch with a monumental double-sided granite fireplace create inviting spaces for year-round coastal living. Halloween, just before dark. The last light across the water gives this home an entirely different presence, one worth pausing for to enjoy before the evening begins. Happy Halloween from Wein Interiors! 🎃 Interior Design: @weininteriors Builder: @nateholyokebuilders Architecture: @peterzimmermanarchitects Photography: @jeffrobertsimaging Landscape Architecture: @emmakellylandscape Project Featured In: @oceanhomemag by @weininteriors
One change can travel much further through a project than it first appears. By the time construction is underway, what seems like a straightforward revision may involve multiple drawings, trades, orders and approvals. Bringing an interior designer into the process early on gives those decisions the proper context. It allows us to anticipate how spaces will function and be furnished, guide selections at the right moment and help the project team avoid unnecessary backtracking and costly shifts. The result is a process that moves forward with fewer surprises and a vision that holds together through completion. If a renovation is on your horizon, consider this your reminder to begin the design conversation early. Tell us more about your project through the contact page linked in our bio! by @weininteriors
Bifold doors or pocket doors? Both have their place in this project with @weininteriors and @janiczekhomes! Bifold doors make a statement, while pocket doors offer a clean, seamless look. Which would you choose for your home? #BifoldDoors #PocketDoors #CustomCabinetry by @weininteriors

A moment for the corners of this dining room! Collected artwork and custom cabinetry bring character to the entire space, extending the design well beyond the dining table. Crafted from a fallen tree on the property, the cabinetry carries a piece of the home’s landscape inside, a personal detail that could never be replicated. It is a meaningful example of how a home’s history can shape what comes next! Interior Design: @weininteriors Architecture: @warrenclaytorarchitects Builder: @ranieri.kerns.builders Photography: @rachelmcginnphotography by @weininteriors
A client may come to us with an image, an object, or a single idea and say, “I love this.” Our role is to understand what they love about it, then consider the hundred-plus decisions required to make it work within their home. Scale, proportion, placement, materials, architecture, lighting, fabrication, and installation all play a part. The inspiration may begin with one choice. Our value lies in everything required to bring it to life. Interior Design: @weininteriors Builder: @spirebuilders Photography: @rachelmcginnphotography by @weininteriors
