Bringing people together to experience Little Bumps, music and a couple of drinks is built into Junkies dna.

Energising the muscle-memory of frivolous and fun-filled times - each bite is designed to take you back.

@bluebellesofportobello hosted us, and @__keeley_______ captured our first tasting event perfectly.

You’ve probably heard the rumours of a baked good so dangerously tasty that it’s banned in 94 countries. We can neither confirm or deny the propaganda.

It’s not yet on the banned substance list in the UK, but we wanted to give the locals a chance to sample it.

@bluebellesofportobello kindly stepped in and whilst we wait formal classification of wither Class 1 or Class 2, we can confirm it’s a Class Act.

Little Bumps from Junkies might be the perfect sweetener for any event. This was a comedy night with @drmartensofficial

They invited us down to party with @paddyisyoung & @_edknight and friends for a night of jokes and fun.

Got to love the choux x shoe collab. There’s a good joke there somewhere for one of the comedians to deliver!

One thing about these Little Bumps from @wejunkies: they disappear! 💨

We had a feeling they’d be a hit at our @storytellingsummit, but we weren’t prepared for just how quickly these were cleared out!

Matcha: Available in store now with a secret codeword!

Matcha was a flavour we used in our first ever taste test back in February, so we’re very excited to revive it as our second limited edition flavour.

We’ve partnered with experts for this one and we’re using exceptionally high quality product from: @harumatcha_uk

During R+D testing we discovered that some people (ok, mainly Asians!) expect stronger flavoured matcha, whilst other palettes are less accustomed to it. So we have two strengths of matcha available.

Consider it a “how Asian are you” test. Way cheaper than a DNA kit. Can we say that? Probably not. Just did.

📆 Details:

15th-17th of September you can upgrade your box of 4 OG vanilla Little Bumps to include 2 matcha for FREE. Just whisper “matcha” suggestively to whoever is serving you.

From Friday 18th September you can purchase the limited edition matcha bumps in store every Friday / Saturday / Sunday - £2.75 for one, £10 for four, £2.50 per bump thereafter.

This will run the next few weeks.

Sitting outside a Shoreditch cafe the other day and a guy handed me a card: “if you want anything for the weekend, hit me up”. Our distribution strategy is pretty much inspired by hustler energy, so i decided to try it for Junkies.

How successful could I be hustling office workers on their lunch break to undertake a treasure hunt for a free pastry they’ve never seen?

Tension was high, expectations were low.

We need quick results for the content, would anyone show up at all?

This is about as close to zero budget marketing as you can get - i got £25 of flyers printed up (i have a lot left!) and had @vn_vs4 come to film me, but that was it.

A couple of notes:
1. Targeting people with an approach (like the dealer) instead of just trying to hand people flyers is way better
2. People were more interested in free pastries (95%) compared to a “short treasure hunt” (50%). So i made it clear we were close by and easy to spot.

Opening later into the evening attracts a different set of Junkies looking for a good time. The other night Louisa and Courtney popped by & got fully loaded on Little Bumps.

They sent these photos taken on an old digital camera a few days later - they look pretty dope!

Living the dream of bringing Junkies to London.

It has been a momentous effort (mainly from @andrewrobertpalmer) to get us here, but we’re open!

Still plenty of bits to finish off, but getting the oven on and serving out Little Bumps is our priority.

Sunday has been a blast - bring on next week.

New opening date: tomorrow 26th July.

We’re in no way ready to launch but perfection is the enemy of a rushed botch job, so here we are!
