FLIRT came from wanting something more for Cincinnati.

I got to experience music scenes in other cities where it made me realize how much I love being around people who are actually there for the music. Being able to stay out until the early morning and seeing people still dance, focused, and enjoying themselves just because they love what they are hearing. That feeling and energy that comes with that is so hard to explain until you experience it.

That’s the feeling I want to bring with FLIRT.

I love Cincinnati and I know there are so many people who actually care about the music scene here, but sometimes I feel like the music gets lost in everything surrounding it. The drama, the cliques, who knows who, who’s playing where, all things that shouldn’t matter once you’re on the dance floor.

I want FLIRT to bring it back to why we’re here in the first place.

I want people to hear good music and discover someone you’ve never heard before. Dance with your friends, dance with someone you’ve never met. Stay later than you planned, let go for a few hours and actually be present.

I don’t want FLIRT to just be another party. I want it to be something people feel a part of. A community where people feel welcomed. Where the DJs have the freedom to express themselves, and the music always comes first.

So let’s FLIRT. by @welcome2flirt
