I guess I’m never getting out of bed 🥹❤️

These are the moments I wish I could freeze forever. She kept giving me hugs and kisses, telling me “don’t go,” and trying to convince me to stay and take a nap with her.

Being a girl dad is honestly one of the greatest things in the world. She knows exactly how to get me too 😂 You can literally see me look at the camera at one point wondering if Mom is watching, because she knows I’m an absolute sucker when it comes to her.

One little “don’t go, Daddy” and apparently my whole day is canceled. 😂❤️

I know these moments won’t last forever, so I’m soaking up every single one I can.

The Wedge community is like no other. 🌊 It’s more than just a wave—it’s the people who show up, put themselves on the line, push each other, and keep coming back year after year. Surfers, bodyboarders, bodysurfers, photographers, lifeguards, and everyone watching from the beach all play a part in what makes this place so special to me. The wave is incredible, but the people and the community surrounding it are what truly make The Wedge what it is. 🤙

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of all the incredible memories and good times over the years. I’m grateful I’ve been able to capture so many of them, and I can’t wait to see what the next swell—and the years ahead—bring. Here’s to a lot more waves, laughs, chaos, and unforgettable days at The Wedge. 🌊

THIS IS WHY THE WEDGE JETTY WAS CLOSED… Two fishermen headed out onto The Wedge jetty during a massive swell, and things went wrong fast. 🌊🎣 A huge wave came over the rocks and absolutely slammed them, washing away their backpacks, fishing poles, and basically all of their gear.

One of the fishermen was injured and struggling to make it back. The two guys didn’t even know each other, but the other fisherman stayed with him and helped him make the long walk back down the jetty.

It took nearly 45 minutes to get back, and thankfully no other massive sets came through while they were making their way to safety. Just a reminder of how quickly things can turn dangerous around the ocean—especially at The Wedge.

FISHERMEN SLAMMED BY MASSIVE WAVES AT THE WEDGE 🤯. There is literally a sign at the beginning of the jetty saying that it is CLOSED, yet these fishermen went past it during extremely heavy conditions.

A massive set came through and completely wiped them out. The Wedge is incredible to watch, but conditions like this are no joke. Unfortunately, someone lost their life while fishing out there during heavy conditions this past winter.

No fish is worth risking your life for. Please respect the closures, listen to the lifeguards, and never underestimate the ocean. 🌊

Thankfully, this is also a reminder of just how quickly things can go wrong when the surf gets this big.
