We made it halfway through the week, y’all! ✨

Tonight, pour something you love, light that candle, put your phone down for a minute, and give yourself a little grace.

Repeat after me:

💕 I don’t have to figure everything out tonight.

💕 I deserve the same love and care I give everyone else.

💕 What’s meant for me won’t miss me.

💕 I can be grateful and still need a break.

💕 I am allowed to rest without feeling guilty.

Now take that deep breath, release what you can’t control, and do ONE thing that makes YOU happy. 🥂

🎃👻 Well, Let’s Go Then… Halloween Edition! 🧡🖤

One thing about us… we LOVE a good costume! 😂 From family costumes to couples, friends, and even work crews, we’ve had some GOOD times dressing up over the years! Some of these costumes still crack me up! 🤣

I’m taking a little trip down memory lane with some of our Halloween looks from over the years! 🎃

Now I wanna know… Are y’all dressing up this Halloween? 👀 Do you go ALL OUT with your costumes, throw something together at the last minute, or just enjoy watching everybody else? 😂

💗 Well, Let’s Go Then! 💗 Give me a good cause, anything PINK, some drinks, a little sunshine, and baby, I’m ALL IN! 💕🍹☀️

Last Saturday, I joined the Pink Dress Crawl 2026, hosted by the New Orleans Girls Club, and when I tell y’all we had a TIME! 💃🏽🥂

Pink everywhere, good vibes, cocktails, beautiful weather, and a whole lot of fun in the French Quarter! But what made the day even sweeter was knowing we were partying with a purpose! 🎀

This fabulous event benefited Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, helping support local cancer patients, screenings, education, and care. 💗

A huge shoutout to the New Orleans Girls Club for putting together such a fun event for an even greater cause! This was my first Pink Dress Crawl, but it definitely won’t be my last! 🩷

Good times. Great cause. Pretty in pink. Until next year! 🍸💕

💕 Self-care isn’t always massages, vacations, and spa days!

Sometimes it’s making those doctor’s appointments, getting your screenings, and staying on top of your health.

As I get older, I’m learning that taking care of myself also means making sure I’m here, healthy, and present for the people I love. ❤️ We make time for everything and everybody else, but we have to remember to make time for ourselves, too!

Don’t put off those important tests and screenings. Early detection matters, and your health deserves just as much attention as everything else on your calendar.

Because taking care of YOU is the ultimate form of self-care! 💕

Y’all know I love trying new places, so… Well, Let’s Go Then. ✨☕️🐊

Rougabrew Coffee in Metairie is seriously the cutest! The Southern swamp theme is so well done, the staff was welcoming, and even with a line, they kept things moving.

I tried the famous Cookie Couyon — cold brew, vanilla syrup + cookie butter cold foam — and it did NOT disappoint. 😍 I paired it with an espresso Ghirardelli chocolate chip scone made by DiNicola Delights, and whew… perfect combo!

And now I already have a list of drinks I need to go back and try. 😂

Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage — Belle Burden
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5

I finished this book feeling a little conflicted…but also incredibly proud of the strength of women. Strangers had me thinking a lot about marriage, divorce, motherhood, and how differently men and women can be treated when a marriage falls apart. Honestly, not just in divorce—in so many situations.

There were plenty of moments when I thought, “Now if a woman did that…” 👀 Because the expectations, judgment, responsibilities, and even the freedom to simply walk away can look VERY different depending on whether you’re the husband or the wife.

But what stayed with me most was Belle. She felt the heaviness of her divorce. She felt the unfairness of it. She was hurt, overwhelmed, angry, and forced to figure out a life she hadn’t planned for.

But she got up.

She pulled herself together and kept going because, let’s face it, she had little ones counting on her. She couldn’t lose.

And THAT part made me proud.

There is something powerful about watching a woman realize that the life she thought she needed isn’t the only life she can have. Sometimes we don’t know how strong we are until life gives us no other choice but to find out.

I didn’t agree with everything in this book. Some parts frustrated me. Some parts made me angry. But I enjoyed it because it made me FEEL something. And when I closed it, I was still thinking about it.

More than anything, I walked away reminded that women can overcome some incredibly hard things. We may bend. We may hurt. We may even fall apart for a minute. But somehow, when people are counting on us, we find a way to GET UP. ❤️

What do you do when it’s raining outside? 🌧️☕📚

For me, rainy days are my reminder to slow down. I light my candles, grab my favorite blanket, make a cup of coffee, put my phone down for a little while, and lately… I READ! 📖 And if you know me, you know that reading part is becoming a whole new personality. 😂

Sometimes it’s a good book, sometimes a movie I’ve seen 100 times, a little nap, something warm cooking in the kitchen, or just sitting quietly listening to the rain.

Life stays busy, so I’m learning not to feel guilty about the days that make me slow down. Sometimes doing absolutely nothing productive is exactly what I need. 🤎

Rainy days = candles lit, coffee poured, blanket on, book open.

I really LOVE being that extra mom. 💕😂

The mom who makes the birthdays a whole production, shows up to everything, takes way too many pictures, plans the trips, celebrates the little things, and somehow always finds a reason to make an ordinary day feel special.

Some people may call it “extra.” I call it creating memories. 🥹❤️

My hope is that one day, when my kids have families of their own, they’ll remember how their mama made things special for them. I hope they carry some of our traditions with them, create new ones, and give their babies those same feelings of excitement, love, and “Mama did ALLLL this for us?!” 😂

Because eventually the decorations come down, the trips end, the kids grow up, and life moves on… But the memories stay.

So yes, I’m THAT extra mom—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 💗

I’m just ready to make more memories with the people I love. ❤️

The laughs that make your stomach hurt, the random conversations, the pictures nobody was ready for 😂, and those little moments that end up meaning EVERYTHING.

Okay y’all… Gavin and I have been getting headicures for YEARS, and I’m realizing we’ve been gatekeeping because WHY haven’t we told y’all about this?! 😂🧖🏽‍♀️🧖🏾‍♂️

If you have never had a headicure, THIS is your sign.

We went to Hair Luxy Spa and when I tell you this is probably the BEST hair wash you will ever have in your life… I mean it! 😩🙌🏽

But baby, it’s not JUST a hair wash. Depending on the service, you’re getting the full relaxation experience — scalp care, massages, facial treatments and just pure PEACE. 🧖🏽‍♀️✨

And yes, Gavin loves it too! This is definitely not just for the ladies. A couples headicure is such a good little self-care/date idea. ❤️

We’ve been doing these for years and every single time I leave wondering why I don’t do it MORE often. 😂

If you’ve never had one, put it on your list. 10/10 experience.

When I tell y’all I WAITED for these tickets to drop! 😂🧶👜 And thank goodness I did because they sold out FAST!

Then the day came and I almost didn’t go. 😩 I don’t really like going places by myself, and I was thissss close to talking myself out of it. But I went anyway… and I’m SO GLAD I DID! I knew it was going to be good, cause I saw @nolaescapes_ post it last week! She only post activities worth going to! 🤣

I took the Knit Your Own Purse class with knottiishop and had the BEST time. The atmosphere was great, I met new people, learned something new, AND walked out with a purse I made myself! 🙌🏾👜

10/10 experience!

And here’s your reminder: GO ANYWAY. Sometimes you have to stop waiting for somebody to go with you and just go experience the thing! ✨

Knotti is now taking her classes on the road ✈️ and traveling to different cities. If she comes anywhere near you, GET THE TICKET! And apparently you better be quick because baby, they GO! 😂

Now excuse me while I go buy more yarn because clearly I have a new hobby. 🧶😂👜
