Before there was an organization — there was a valley 🏜️

I’m Markell, Registered nurse. Faith-driven leader. Founder & Director of The Well of Prosperity. A woman who knows firsthand what it means to lose yourself trying to survive a season!

I created this space because I kept seeing women who were strong on the outside and quietly falling apart on the inside. Women who were praying and still struggling. Women who needed someone to say — you don’t have to keep performing wholeness, you can actually walk in it!

So today I get to host a room full of women who are ready to stop surviving and start healing 🕊️💜✨🌱

This October, for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Well of Prosperity is hosting The Well Conversations, an intimate virtual panel on trauma, who we become because of it, and how therapy and spirituality can work together on the road to healing.

Licensed mental health providers and women in ministry will share their wisdom, with room for your questions (anonymous ones welcome).

Because of the generosity of our community, The Well of Prosperity, in partnership with New Light Women’s Mission, was able to donate over 200 winter garments to individuals and families in need.

These donations were distributed across Louisiana: New Orleans, Lake Charles, Westlake, Vinton, and Houston, Texas.

Together we reached:
• Women’s domestic violence shelters
• Covenant house for displaced adolescents
• Local headstart class, elementary and middle school
• Harbor House Youth Group Home
• New Orleans Mission Homeless Shelter
• Individuals we encountered along the way who simply needed warmth.
