Wizard of Oz is changing colour! I picked these on Monday, today is Saturday. The centres are fading to white and I love it. Definitely a keeper for next year 🌸 by @welshdaffidoll

And now the sun is on the garden. A lot less sun at this time than in summer so I’m really noticing where the sun tracks since I started gardening and having my morning cuppa outside.
By November I don’t think this back garden will get any sun 🤔 by @welshdaffidoll

First weekend of October and the flowers are loving it. So many still putting on their best and seems the cherry chocolate cosmos loves me as much as I love it!
It’s a year since I started ‘properly gardening’ 😂 and I can’t wait for the next!!
Have a great weekend whatever you’re doing or not doing 🌸

My lovely Tiarella has been looking poorly sick for ages. I’ve been feeding, watering, checking for spider mites etc.

Decided earlier to take out the dead leaves and give it a bit of a today up. The whole foliage head came away and there were tons of bloody vine weevils 😩!

First experience of these in my garden! I saved 5 decent sized cuttings and 5 smaller ones. Washed the earth and tiny weevils off and re-potted keeping my fingers crossed they will all survive.

Currently researching how to control vine weevils - any advice, suggestion please hit me up 🙏 by @welshdaffidoll

Picked only my second bunch of flowers this year for the house. I picked a fab bunch early July and then nothing because there weren’t many to pick! Probably due to the heat? Not sure, it’s my first year growing dahlias and everything really. Anyway, chuffed with these, I love them 🌸🩷🌸 by @welshdaffidoll

Look at my Facebook memory from one year ago 😂!! My gardening journey started and my tiny zippy greenhouse has done me proud! I’ve got another small one from Lidl since then and a small wooden cold frame from Asda so I’m fully armed for year 2 💪🏼😂! Bring it on 🌱🌸🌱🌸 by @welshdaffidoll

Misty grey sky, lots of dahlia colour in the garden and a Welsh lady with a baddie cold 😔. Don’t feel up to much today I’ll be honest, the cold is winning so far 🙃 by @welshdaffidoll
