I had such a good day today! We went to the beach and for my favourite walk, where after protesting for the first 100 m, I trotted along and pulled 👩🏻 for the rest of the walk. She was getting worried that I’m slowing down, since I’ll be 11 soon, but no, turns out I’m just stubborn. Friends, I have been deserted! Don’t I look sad here? This was my last walk with 👩🏻 before she headed off to Copenhagen for the weekend. And it’s not even for work - she’s always leaving me for work - but for fun! Outrageous. My weekend was eventful: the breakdown is that I went to the groomer and was then made to take the bus and walk home, rather than have my chariot brought round for me. Upsetting!

And that was after my walk on Friday night, where the shorter days meant that I couldn’t do the walk I prefer. Protests ensued!

My humans need to pull out all the stops next weekend, that’s for sure. I expect canoeing and swimming. #welshterrier #terrier #walkswithmydog by @welshie_ralph

Epic view on today’s walk…but what I was more interested in was 👩🏻’s sandwich. I had a taste for it, after 👩🏼 dropped the cheese and I grabbed half a block of Gouda and wouldn’t give it up - there’s nothing that could convince me to do that! Today I was a real hill dog, complete with a drink from a tarn and some ginger cake, to match my ginger face, at the top. Yes, they did bring out a rainbow especially for my trip to Eilean Glas lighthouse! It was raining when we left the house today and the sun came out in time for our walk. Then the humans went gin and whisky tasting and brought me some, and bought me a new Harris tweed collar. I’m on my holibobs! My humans took my suggestion of somewhere cooler, but with beaches and mountains, and have brought me to Harris. So far, I approve - and the beach is so empty that I can run around almost ‘off the lead’ - on the lead without a human holding it. The very long drive plus a ferry was perhaps worth it. I was a pub dog last night and loved it, especially when the humans had burgers. It’s not often that I go to a pub - generally they stress me out and I prefer to stay at home - but the humans decided to try it last night and I wasn’t too stressed by it, so maybe we’ll go back.
