At 8 years old, Jon was diagnosed with Stargardt macular degeneration, a rare eye condition affecting central vision and causing light sensitivity. Over the years, his vision progressively worsened, and he eventually became legally blind.

It didn’t stop him from earning his degree at Cal State Fullerton, building a career, or founding WMFY in 1992.

33 years later, he’s still leading the company he built, raising a family in Fullerton, staying active, and finding new ways forward.

His story isn’t about what he couldn’t see.

It’s about what he refused to let stand in his way.
