What the?! I was surprised by this uncommon scene of a Brown-headed Cowbird being fed by a Common Yellowthroat mama. Native to North America but not historically native to Vancouver Island, they did not start breeding here until 1940. Brown-headed Cowbirds are N.A.'s most common brood parasite.
