A few of the things I love most about BASTARD2. BAD COMPANY are subtle nuances in the intro that I’m sure most viewers never even realised.

As the season progresses and the tone shifts from lighthearted to darker and more serious—mirroring the struggles our protagonists face—so does the intro. The champion belt, beautifully animated by Martin Köhler, slowly deteriorates with each episode.

When the Tag Team Pretty Bastards splits up, they no longer appear together in the opening. As Baby Allison changes her look throughout the series, her appearance in the intro evolves too.

And in the final episode, in which we learn that Maggot and Baby Allison have become a real-life couple, they appear together for the first time—right at the end of the intro.

Each episode features a slightly different version of the intro. That was super important to me, because I felt it was a crucial part of how I wanted to tell the story of BASTARD2. BAD COMPANY.
