True grit is at the top of the list when it comes to describing this 11 yr old. When he picked climbing Mt Whitney for his dad/son trip I had to prepare a lot more than I did when I hiked it at 30, it definitely has gotten considerably harder for me and at times had to look to my little partner for encouragement. taken in Mount Whitney by @werenotincharge

This little dude left dad in the dust. 19.4 mi summit hike with 11,000 feet elevation gain/loss in 19 hrs including 6 hrs sleep at High Creek camp spot. Pretty grueling training hike for Whitney next week. taken in San Gorgonio Peak by @werenotincharge

To say this dog was our pet would be selling her short. This dog has raised our family for the past 11 years. She has been on nearly every trip we’ve taken including Mexico, ski trips and whitewater rafting consisting of 10 different rivers. Beth made a positive impact on anyone fortunate enough to spend time with her. She will be greatly missed! by @werenotincharge

After 4700mi, 34days, 9 states, Angel Fire, Crested Butte, Winter Park bike parks, Rio Grande, Animas, Arkansas, Snake River whitewater, many visits with friends in Colorado and Oregon and family in Washington we arrived at our camp spot at the foothills of Mt Shasta with only 721mi to home. Something is missing though! by @werenotincharge
