Never thought I’d ever have to make this post…but here I am. After the rear end collision involving the E90 few weeks ago, the insurance has confirmed that the car unfortunately would be a total loss. The main reason concerns the rear quarter panel and frame damege, as the repair cost would exceed the car’s overall value. Out of all the ways this car could go out, this was the least I expected. The car had so much more potential, so many things on the bucket list that I wanted to do. Even the Apex wheels that I got, which I guess would never be mounted. Ever since the first day my dad gave me this car, I fell in love with it. From a regular 16 year old learning how to drive, to somewhat of a car guy, this car did it all. Many people might think I’m insane for having so much care for a piece of metal on wheels, I don’t blame them at all. As time passed, this car slowly started to represent a part of me, becoming a piece in my heart and soul, even though it’s “just a base 328i.” All the weekly washes that I spent my blood, sweat and tears on. All the times it rolled out the garage shining like a mirror. All the tiny cosmetic modifications I did. All the 600+ pictures I captured in my camera roll. The communities, friends, and awesome people I’ve met because of this car, no matter if it was at the bay or Arizona. I will never forget the happiness it brings and the smile it puts on my face whenever I see it sitting pretty. Many may say it’ll always be the next one, but I don’t think it’ll ever hit the same. Sadly, this will all be memories now. The journey of building the cleanest e90 in the world comes to an end. So long my friend, we had a good run. Thank you for spending the last 4 years with me. by @wes.visuals
