POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

After receiving feedback from the creator of the Social Change Map we utilized in our first release of this graphic, we reconvened as a coalition to revise the language in this post in a way that more holistically credits and honors the work of Deepa Iyer. So, one more time for anyone who missed it ✊🏿✊🏽✊🏾 @deepaviyer @buildingmovementproject by @weseeyouwat

The “anyone” refers to: Journalists. Producers. Unions. Directors. Actors. Writers. Composers. Administrators. The Broadway League. Bloggers. And industry back door wheelers & dealers. ANYONE. Do not try us. We see you. We know our history and we honor it by joining forces.
This is your coalition notice.
Happy Black History. ✊🏾✊🏽✊🏿

Question: when can we officially cancel Charlotte St. Martin?
Answer: TODAY ✔️

“My educated guess is the newer shows have understudies that aren’t as efficient in delivering the role as the lead is. Some of the older shows have more experienced understudies and more experienced swings. I know one show last week where the lead was out, the understudy was on vacation, the swings were covering other parts, and they just didn’t have enough people to stand in.” -Charlotte St. Martin on why shows are closing early.

As of this post, she is still President of @broadwayleague •
As of this post, The Broadway League has not responded to our demands. (And I think we know why). ☕️
