If you’ve never experienced the brilliance of African filmmaking, let this be the year it begins. From March 13 through March 26, journey through powerful stories from across the continent and throughout the diaspora. Each film challenges, inspires, and reminds us who we are. by @westafkid

More Miles to go ❤️‍🩹 by @westafkid
Earlier this March, I directed and wrote a commercial for @afisilvertheatre and @africaworldnowproject for the 22nd edition of the New African Film Festival It all started in 2025, when I attended the festival for the first time and watched my first film there. It was a powerful experience, both as a filmmaker and as an African. I couldn’t understand why more people didn’t know about this festival. So this year, my goal was to help spread the word and introduce the festival to as many people as possible Thank you again to @mckmunthali and @toddhitchcock1 for your trust and the opportunity Much love to everyone who contributed to this project, both near and far - Director / Writer : Jacques Gbetholancy Director of Photography: @uhlonzo_ 1st Assistant Director/ Voice Over : @7souljah 1st Assistant Camera: @prettyfaceshootaa @earthborncreative Gaffer / Grip : @davidotokore Editor / Colorist : @westafkid Original score : @vsse979 Cast : @laurine_93 @7souljah @ann_shiny_ @lauwkeyz @alphamj_ @londonntracey @ali_eicha @bynnenna @nitwadyllan @hounjulio @smiters_cartel @kvn_egd Special thanks to : @africaworldnowproject @fofmedia @wpfwdc @creativeedgepg by @westafkid
