Voodoo DJs are a loose collective of vinyl DJs heavily entrenched in the fabric of Newcastle’s music scene since the days of BHP. What you get is the triple threat of Deejay Mathmatics, Deejay Tone, and Mark N, backed up by Kid Mince and The Stone Fox. The format is a throwdown of Funk, Hip Hop, Breaks, Disco and everything in-between using vinyl 45s, little records that punch way above their weight. Expect a block-rockin’ party for the dancers and a healthy dose of turntablism for the heads. 🎧🎛️

Voodoo DJs are doing a full takeover of @madpoetnewcastle , who are also slinging hotdogs and playing the NRL Grand Final 🌭 ❤️💙⚔️

Midtown is packed with great places to eat, and this year we’re keeping it local. Instead of bringing in food trucks, we’re sending the love (and hungry festival-goers) to the restaurants, cafés and bars that call the precinct home.

Don’t forget your nutrients tomorrow!

Full info and online ordering info link in bio ⬆️

There’ll be everything from bagels and hot dogs to Japanese okonomiyaki, Mexican, Italian and full pub feeds, with plenty of spots offering takeaway and online ordering so you can grab something between sets.

In the EJE Carpark we’ll have food runners delivering orders 🍕🌮🌭

@antojitosnewcastle In our opinion, the best Mexican food in the region. Head in for a taco or two and catch the collab happening with New Brain Communications, or order online for pickup and take it with you. 🌮 🌯

@papas_bagel_bar , open since 2015, introduced a dedicated artisanal bagelry scene to Newcastle’s evolving CBD. Go in, get a $5 drink special with any meal and watch the music, or order online. 🥯

@bellaitalianewcastle Authentic Italian inspired by flavours from across Italy, bringing together traditional recipes with a modern twist. Bella Italia have online ordering available - grab a pizza and get back to the music! 🍕

@jamskaraoke Japanese street food and izakaya-style eats, with a menu made for snacking, sharing and refuelling between sets. 🥢

@maruhifi Japanese-inspired eats with a focus on simple, flavour-packed dishes. For WBBF, Maru will be serving okonomiyaki (Japanese savoury pancakes) until dinner service begins. 🥞

@madpoetnewcastle Serving up their signature hot dogs throughout the festival, from the Midtown small bar that knows its way around a good dog. 🌭

@happywombatnewcastle Modern Australian pub food with plenty of local produce and hearty favourites. For WBBF, they’ll have their $25 Sunday Lunch running all day, alongside the full regular menu. 🍔 by @westbestblocfest

6 ALL AGE stages across the block and the best of Newcastle’s home grown artists topped by the Knights bringing it home ⚔️
