A little bit about me ✨It’s been a looooong time since I introduced myself, but I’ve been thinking lately about how I got here and why I do what I do. The short version: I grew up in the south dreaming about places I thought I’d never see. Then I got the chance to move west for grad school with barely a month’s notice, and I took it. This one decision changed the entire trajectory of my life!That was almost a decade ago. Since then I’ve lived in San Diego, Colorado, Southern California, and now Northern California. I’ve climbed mountains, explored deserts, wandered coastlines, and spent more time outside than I ever imagined possible.There was also a season where things got really hard and my body made it clear that something had to change. Movement, nature, and prioritizing slowing down were the things that brought me back to myself. If you’re suffering from burnout, know you’re not alone and you will find a way back to yourself. The West has taught me more about slowing down, being present, and appreciating what’s right in front of me than anything else in my life. That’s what I try to share here.If you’re new, welcome. Scenes from a quick solo trip to Neskowin 📸Neskowin is easily one of my favorite spots on the Oregon Coast—tiny, quiet, and ridiculously beautiful. I recently got to stay at @ourplaace, and honestly, it’s the most stunning Airbnb I’ve ever booked. Everything about it was intentional—the drive-up recommendations, the playlists (impeccable vibes), even the glassware and linens. But the best part? Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and being able to admire a sky full of stars, all from bed.Naturally, I spent most of my time doing what I do best: drinking coffee in every cozy corner I could find. There are few things I love more than a moody, gloomy, rainy day on the Sonoma Coast 🌧️🌊Started the morning at @madeirahouse_sonoma and headed north to Jenner Headlands Preserve, Fort Ross, and Stillwater Cove. To me, there’s nothing more peaceful than finding a beautiful spot along the coast, setting up my camp chair with a cup of coffee, putting my phone on *do not disturb*, and fighting the wind to keep my place in whatever book I’m currently reading 📖Also…I’m in the market for a new camp chair as this one has seen better days.
