So we missed Father's Day. We had a few technical issues at the brewery and couldn't guarantee delivery in time so excuse the delay.

We finally got some canning done this week. There's nothing better to hear than the plink plink plink plink plink of lids going on filled cans.

We held back all recent orders to make sure that the beer is at it's freshest so all orders were sent out today.

Celebrating 10 years on tap in Ennis 🍻

For the past decade, Western Herd has been pouring consistently on draft at The Old Ground Hotel — not just as a seasonal guest beer, but as a proper fixture on the bar.

The Old Ground is an Ennis institution: a favourite with visitors who return year after year, and just as importantly, a local landmark for weddings, communions, birthdays and all of life’s big celebrations. It’s more than a hotel — it’s part of the town’s story.

10 years brewing in Kilmaley… and our very first tap came before we’d even brewed our first beer. 🍻

Back when Western Herd was still a building site, John Burke at the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point got in touch and said: “Put us down for a keg.”

That early bit of belief helped shape everything we’ve built since — and it even inspired Spanish Point American Pale Ale, which started as a one-off and ended up as a core beer.
