At Western Sun Foundation, we’re an ALL-volunteer, ALL fan-run crew!
Our board of 9 directors meets monthly (and then some 👀) to keep the WSF mission thriving — powered by passion, teamwork, and a whole lotta love for our community.

We’re so grateful to do what we do, and we’re always working to grow and create new ways to give back and support communities we travel through on tour.

It’s breast cancer awareness month and WSF was out with Cotter last night to Rock the Pink at Ardmore Music Hall! Rock the Pink is a fundraiser supporting the American Cancer Society and it’s organizers raised over $40K last night for the cause 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼

One of the many organizations WSF has been able to support over the years is @breastwishesfoundation , whose mission is to give the gift of joy to those living with breast cancer. We are excited for this highlight reel of the Steel City with great food, curated drinks, fan artist vendors (TBA), community, and two of Pittsburgh’s favorites @dj_dinidaddy2.0 and @hoagiedreams spinning vinyl disco at @alleghenycitybrewing and @theeastmanpittsburgh. Then get to the show in style with @burghbus, a free shuttle, thanks to our sponsor: @breadworkspgh.

Open to the public - suggested donation of $20 to WSF at the door to support a good cause; local beneficiary coming soon. We can’t wait to see you and groove before Goose takes the stage at the Wylie.

We’re bringing Honey on Your Spoon back for round two.

Join us Saturday, November 7 at Birch in Milwaukee for a family-style lunch by James Beard Award-winning Chef Kyle Knall, music from Milwaukee’s own Erotic Adventures of Static Chicken (we are bird band people, after all), and art from @chrisbenchetler

After lunch, we’ll head to Miller High Life Theatre for a private soundcheck.

Honey on Your Spoon supports the mission of Western Sun Foundation, with proceeds benefiting WSF and a local Milwaukee charity to be announced.

We will be supporting three beneficiaries for upcoming fall tour, and we’d love to hear your suggestions for who we should support!

Guidelines: Our beneficiaries are small/mid sized ($1MM-$3MM operating budget) nonprofits that support either music education, music therapy, the wellbeing of women and children or environmental sustainability. Milwaukee, Pittsburgh and Atlantic City are our target cities. Have a nomination? Thanks to all who reached out about graphic design help! As an all-volunteer squad, we appreciate the community support to further our mission. So here is another ask! But a really fun one.

We are throwing a pretty epic event TBA in the coming weeks. As we build this, we are looking for 5-8 fan artists/ flodown vendors to participate! This would be ahead of the Friday 11/20 show in PGH. As an all volunteer, fan run nonprofit we rely on the community to help us along the way. We are currently looking for a volunteer graphic designer to assist us with the production of our fiscal year annual report! Thanks to the amazing fan support and $1/ticket, we were able to give our largest tour beneficiary gifts yet. $15,000 was donated to both Think Wild Central Oregon and A Child's Song and The Studio in Denver.

Additionally, with the wildfires blazing through much of this tour and the areas we traveled through, we donated $5,000 to the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon Wildfire Recovery Fund.

$35,000 gifted - All on behalf of the Goose Community. ☀
