🎄Westside BID recently joined the team at the @hiltongardeninn_brindleyplace for their Christmas showcase, getting a taste of the festive menus and experiencing some of what they have on offer for the upcoming Christmas party season.

From festive food and drinks to a great setting for celebrating with colleagues, it was a fantastic opportunity to see what the team has planned for Christmas 2026.

🧤 Making a difference, together!

Another successful Westside BID litter pick has brought local businesses and the wider community together to help keep Westside clean, green and welcoming.

This time, volunteers removed an impressive 20 bags of rubbish from streets and public spaces across the district.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved — your time and teamwork are helping make a visible difference for businesses, workers, residents and visitors.

It’s great to see what we can achieve when the Westside community comes together.

Our Business Liaison Manager, Elaine, is continuing her month-long programme of pop-ups across the Westside district, bringing Westside BID directly to our levy payers and creating opportunities for businesses to connect, ask questions and make the most of the support available to them.

This afternoon, Elaine and Shings spent time at Tricorn House, catching up with members and hearing more about their businesses and how Westside BID can support them.

Birmingham’s accommodation sector has voted to establish the city’s first Accommodation Business Improvement District (ABID), creating a new industry-led model for investment in the city’s visitor economy.

The ballot saw 64% of votes cast in favour, while businesses representing 59% of the total rateable value also backed the 2027–2032 business plan. Turnout was 54%.

🚀Refocusing for the final quarter of 2026

It was great to bring professionals from across Westside’s community for another Lunch & Learn session.

Held at the @hiltongardeninn_brindleyplace , the session focused on wellbeing, goal setting and making the most of the final months of the year, led by Westside’s Wellness Consultant, Harriette Luscombe from @coaches_forchange

Through practical activities, reflection and conversations, attendees had the opportunity to step away from their usual routines, share ideas and explore tools they can take back into both their working and personal lives.

Westside BID recently enjoyed an entertaining evening at The Crescent Theatre, taking in Nigel Slater’s Toast – a warm, funny and poignant journey through the celebrated food writer’s childhood.

Based on Slater’s award-winning memoir and adapted for the stage, Toast transports audiences back to suburban Wolverhampton in the 1960s. @crescenttheatre @nigelslater
