POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
There was so much to celebrate this week! While many were celebrating the Fourth of July, our community was also celebrating the incredible connections made at the National Stuttering Association Conference.

One of the highlights was seeing mentors and mentees come together for lunch—sharing stories, encouragement, and laughter that had previously lived through phone calls and video chats. Even more exciting, one mentor and mentee took the stage together to present, demonstrating just how meaningful these relationships can become.

Moments like these remind us that mentorship is about more than guidance. It's about building genuine connections, growing together, and creating opportunities that neither person has to face alone.

Here's to celebrating community, connection, and the relationships that continue to make our mentorship program so special.

Stay tuned...more to come!!! 👏🏻 taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @westutteratwork

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Speed Interviews workshop at the conference! 🎉

We loved seeing so many people step outside their comfort zones, practice their interview skills, and build confidence through meaningful conversations. Whether you were asking questions, sharing your experiences, or cheering others on, you helped make the session engaging and impactful.

Thank you for spending part of your conference with us—we hope you left with new connections, practical strategies, and a little more confidence for your next interview! by @westutteratwork

🚨New Workshop Alert 🚨

Introducing our July's NSA Conference Speed Interview Workshop, an interactive, community-driven experience designed to help participants sharpen their interviewing skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

✨ Here's what to expect:
• A brief introduction to set the stage and explain the format
• Dedicated prep time to organize your thoughts and prepare responses
• Four rounds of one-on-one speed interviews with different interviewers
• Immediate opportunities to apply feedback and refine your approach
• A group debrief to reflect on lessons learned and celebrate successes
• Access to additional WeStutter@Work resources, mentorship opportunities, networking groups, and professional development tools

Unlike a traditional presentation, this workshop puts participants in the driver's seat. You'll gain hands-on experience answering common interview questions, thinking on your feet, and building confidence through repetition and connection.

Whether you're actively job searching, exploring future career opportunities, or simply looking to strengthen your professional communication skills, this workshop offers a chance to practice in a space where growth is encouraged and every voice belongs.

We can't wait to bring this unique experience to life and help participants leave feeling more prepared for their next big opportunity. 🎤 💼

Negotiating salary when you stutter should not mean negotiating your worth. Period.

Bias can enter the conversation when fluency is treated as a sign of confidence or competence. Employers have a responsibility to recognize that bias and people who stutter deserve to advocate for fair compensation without their speech being held against them.

Who helped you find the NSA? 💜

For Jade Epps, it was a supervisor who researched stuttering after her interview and encouraged her to attend a nearby NSA Chapter meeting. His mentorship left an impression that Jade now carries into her own role as a manager.

Supportive managers can change careers and lives. Learn how WeStutter@Work is helping build workplaces where people who stutter can thrive. 💼
