Another Friday. Another opportunity to jump into some trouble or find yourself on an adventure. Preferably stay out of trouble, but get out there and do something.

One day you’ll look back on these times and realize some of your best memories came from the ridiculous situations you found yourself in and the people you served alongside.

Make the most of it, check on the homies, and stay safe out there. 🪂

I remember being one of the youngest guys in Airborne School.

When it came time to jump, I was almost always in the door, or second or third. There wasn’t much time to sit there and think about it. You stood up, hooked up, shuffled forward, and eventually you were staring out of an open door not knowing if this jump would be your last.

And I honestly I was scared.

But that was part of it.

Standing in the door taught me early that courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s putting yourself in a position where you have to move through it.

That lesson followed me long after I stopped jumping out of airplanes.

Every day gives us another opportunity to stand in the door.

Starting the business. Taking the new job. Having the hard conversation. Becoming a parent. Betting on yourself. Doing something you aren’t sure you’re ready for.

Whatever your door is, get in it.

Fear is temporary.

Stand in the Door.

Survived another week.

Insert the same Friday safety brief you’ve heard a thousand times. 😂

Check on your homies. Make good decisions, or at least have a good story. Keep your fourth point of contact covered and out of trouble. 🤙

See you on Monday. 🪂
