Lightning rarely strikes - and never twice in the same place. But on this day and evening.-we caught it both times. And it lived in every one of us.
Grateful for every collaborator and partner who gave of their time, services and talent. And to the guests - who felt it, showed love, leaned in —— thank you for knowing you were part of something rare.

Late on Saturday afternoon, an intimate circle of guests gathered at Warona Farm for an exclusive, invitation-only experience, carefully curated around sunset, dinner, wine and music.

As the African sun slipped behind the mountains, the landscape seemed almost theatrical. And perhaps no one felt their pull more deeply than artist
Apiwe Bubu

Following an extraordinary Holy Smoke dinner, beautifully paired with Seipone wines and cape brandy from Avante, guests moved into a candlelit room warmed by a roaring fireplace.

And just off-centre stood an antique piano.

A treasured family heirloom. Generations of hands have touched its keys. Generations of songs and stories seem to live within it.

Then Apiwe began to play.

The room shifted.

Smiles appeared. Conversations disappeared.

And when he began to sing, something almost impossible to describe happened. His voice didn’t simply fill the room, it moved through it. Through every person listening. Somehow reaching backwards towards the generations who came before us, while carrying something forward to those still to come.

A full circle.
He was joined by his sister @pilanibubu
I have experienced many performances, but very few have affected me quite like this one.

This was No Doubt #Joburgstyle!

It was intimate. Powerful. Soul-stirring.

It was magical.

It was-We Want More. 🔥🎹🍷🌄
