“Ever since I was little, I always knew that I wanted to join a sorority. I had always heard of the amazing friendships that were created and the countless memories made through greek life from family members and friends. So, when I decided I was going to go to Wake, I knew how important it was to find a chapter of girls I could do the same with. As fall semester of my freshman year went on and I became involved in various clubs and activities, the girls of Kappa Delta really began to stand out to me, as it always seemed like whatever I found myself interested in there was a Kappa Delta. Before rush, I hoped to find lifelong friends, and Wake’s chapter of Kappa Delta has given me just that. Whether it is friends that are worth traveling to see in the summer, like my big, Charlotte, or friends that are worth wishing summer would end quicker to see them back on campus. I know I am lucky to be a member of Kappa Delta! 🍀”

Hit the Bricks raised $406,984 for Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund. Thank you to every single Kappa Delta who showed up and showed out today. One last National Friendship month post💚

“Dear Reagan, Julia, and Paige,
It sounds so cheesy, but I can confidently say my life has forever been changed because of the three of you. I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be able to call you all my best friends! When I have good news, you are my first call (or group FaceTime); when I’m stressed, the first thing I want to do is debrief on our couch; and if I want to be alone, that never means I want to be away from any of you three.
It’s hard to believe we all signed our lease to live together senior year without actually being close friends yet. But I believe we were simply always meant to be friends, and it just took a lease to bring us all together. You are all the most joyful, loving, silly, caring, and loyal friends a girl could ever ask for. Every day I am so grateful that I get to share a house with the three best people in the world!
If someone knows me, they know all three of you, because my favorite hobby is talking about how amazing my friends are. The light and love you bring, not just into my life, but everyone’s lives, should seriously be studied, because I cannot go anywhere without someone telling me how amazing or wonderful one of you is.

Paige — thank you for coin hunting in your jammies with me, being the lead guitarist in our house band, labeling everything so we never forget which light switch is what, reminding us to count our blessings, and for being so unapologetically yourself in the best way.

Julia — thank you for always going with the bit, showing so much love for your friends that it actually amazes me, making our lives so fun, and teaching me the importance of always having your girls no matter what.

Reagan — thank you for being everyone’s go-to, our clean-up/lock-up crew, always being down to boogie no matter where we are, and taking the time to remind us to enjoy where we are in life right now with your outside sits, music filled long car rides, and always being so present in the moment.

To celebrate National Friendship month, we are going to dedicate each #whykdwednesday to highlight a friendship💚 This week we will hear a letter Junior @catergoldman wrote for her suite from last year🧚

“Dear 402,

To the five girls who have made my experience at Wake and in KD all the more special. I am so immensely grateful to have had the chance to live with you all and to make our suite a home last year. Whether having movie nights, getting to know each others families throughout the year, or simply just debriefing our days after class, I’ll forever be so thankful for our time in 402 💚☘️. I have loved keeping up with everyone’s adventures while abroad and am ecstatic to have the chance travel the world together! I can’t wait to be reunited in the spring 🤗🤗💛💛
