Stone chips are one of those things that slowly ruin the look of a car, so here's exactly how I repair them on the Rubystone E36 using Chipex.

South of France / October 2026 roadtrip captured on Fujifilm Quicksnap

Filling up at 100 litre water tank with a 12 litre jug was no quick job...

Main objective of the trip seeing Matthew and Mima tie the knot 🥂

5+ hours and 500ish kilometres later and we arrive in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

Honestly this place was like something out of an Indiana Jones movie 😱

Heavily underexposed but in the shadows is Luce holding too large stein's of honey beer 🍻

Following morning we spent at the Lake of Sainte-Croix eating obscenely large sandwiches and drinking Orangina 🥖

From here we moved onto the medieval city of Aigues-Mortes

It rained heavily this morning so what was meant to be a stunning view of bright pint salt flats ended up being a paid tour to see some giant puddles and a few mountains of table salt... Swing was fun though!

Margs on the menu mean Margs on the table 🍸

Best barrier opener in all the land! Bit of manual work to get into the campsite just before an incredibly heavy Thunder Storm came in 🌩️

Next day we arrived in Sète! The rain disappeared and the sun came out but the wind really came out in full force 💨

Before and after the Octopus pie which is a staple dish in Sète. Whole pie was tackled with no cutlery which was quite impressive and an experience 😂

Not sure what started happening with the film here but we arrived at our final stop, Coullioure which was really something else!

Luce displaying her boat in a bottle gift to me... Now I need a mahogany study and shelf full of books I won't read!

Multiple beers and bottles of wine later, Luce got the urge to perform a catwalk shoot. Maybe I was drunk also or the camera wanted to give up at this point but at least I got a good shot of those gorgeous legs 😏😂 taken in South of France by @wgswain

As show season 2026 comes to an end, it feels like a good time to reflect.

What an incredible year for this little E36!!

Somehow managed to bag 3 awards, but honestly, it’s the conversations, new friendships and seeing people genuinely appreciate the vision behind the car that I’m most proud of.

I love sharing this thing with you all, bouncing ideas around and slowly building on the vision together. Much love to everyone who’s stopped for a chat, followed along, shared a post or simply appreciated the car. Love you all 🫶🏻

Now onto 2027…

The list of jobs is already getting out of hand 😂

The latest one was the new exhaust by @rusty_fabrications It took a ridiculous amount of research and turned into a bit of a science project, but I genuinely think it’s now one of the best sounding NA M50s out there. It just needs a little more low end power to match the noise 😅

I’ll try and get a proper drive by recorded soon for those who haven't heard it in person.

The heat this summer also absolutely battered the roof lining and door card fabric, so interior work has jumped up the priority list. Everything is already mapped out to get it looking mint for 2027, just a bit of saving required to do it properly.

I’d also love to tackle the shaved engine bay. That one is going to take a serious amount of time removing wiring that’s no longer needed, so we’ll see how far I get with that…

And somewhere in there I’d love to work on a subtle decal design for the side and figure out a proper custom arch liner setup. If anyone is handy with either of those and fancies getting involved, drop me a message and let’s see what we can work out.

Plenty more to come and excited to see where this E36 ends up in 2027!
