Last year, I stepped into acting. It felt new and oddly familiar at the same time. Schrille Nacht was one of the projects that allowed me to discover pieces which already existed within me and I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a few scenes from that episode. Directors: @arashtriahi @arman.t.riahi Writer: @bbfromthabloc Production: @goldengirlsfilm @orf #film by @whadup_cat

What happens when the shock subsides and only traces remain? Here, between longing and irony, shells become objects of remembrance and migration – suspended between what hurts and what allows us to keep going. This was ruins of a shell. A solo performance and a group effort. ruins of a shell is a performance solo that moves through dance, karaoke, and ritual – sometimes in sequence, sometimes simultaneously. Cat Jimenez performs grief as a physical and social event: body-driven, structurally restless, occasionally funny. The piece holds Filipino childhood memory, Viennese Christmas market labor, pop culture, and ceremony in the same room, and refuses to let any one of them settle. Performed in English, Bisaya, and Tagalog, the audience shifts between intimacy and confrontation, between being invited in and being exposed. The humor is real. So is the grief.
