Do something meaningful

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hey all, been a while. Popping on to share that there is a new song released by @crazy88official produced by and featuring myself. I’m excited to share a glimpse into some of my creative evolution. Emerald Green is out now.

Whale Bones is still very much an active project. No timeline to share. Working to create something sustainable that maintains the ideal artistic ethos. Things are moving. Gonna be worth the wait. ✌️ by @whalebones

To hear the full song, please follow the instructions in my previous post.

Forest is written from the perspective of a tree in a 5 acre woods near my house that was cut down by commercial developers. We fought for them to not be able to cut down the forest, but were denied the opportunity to even speak during our city-county council meeting. It was re-zoned and they proceeded to cut everything down.

The developers and council members deluded themselves into thinking that personal success, by any means necessary, equals goodness. Any opposition to their goals are inconveniences, not something worth giving pause. Our concerns were not important to them.

I believe that, in the end, things come back around. Their actions are short-term gain, with long term consequences. The hope of this song is to acknowledge the pain of oppression, selfishness, and greed, while acknowledging that the story is not over.

I abandoned this song a long time ago, but it felt appropriate to share now. Upon revisiting, I really love it. I hope it brings you some hope and resilience. by @whalebones
