What do you do when the one person you could count on to make your worst day better is gone? You’re more than my father; you’re my best fucking friend in the world, my confidant, my mentor, my therapist, my hero. You taught me that no matter how far gone someone is, they can always come back. You left everything and everyone better than you found them. You kept me grounded and always told the truth, regardless of how I would feel about it, because you knew that’s what was best. You loved me unconditionally. My father is a great man and the world was a better place with him in it, there’s no doubt about that. I live every day knowing that the lessons he taught me will guide me through whatever is ahead, though I would give anything for him to be here with us again.I love you, Dad.
