Todays drizzly weather has got me thinking of comforting autumnal food and there is nothing better than a roast dinner with all the trimmings. This one is from The Red Lion in Corley - roast beef with seasonal greens, roast potatoes, roasted carrots and parsnips and a massive Yorkie pud. Nothing beats a home cooked roast but this one was enjoyable 😋

When a spontaneous trip to a pub you’ve never been to before turns out fabulous 🤩

James and I went to The Old Mill in Baginton yesterday, and as soon as I walked in, I knew I could expect good things. This pub is perfect for cosy season - I already can’t wait to visit again when the open fire is lit. A great selection of dishes on the menu but as soon as we saw Moules Frites on the specials menu we both had to have it. Delicious mussels in a creamy white wine sauce, piping hot French fries and a side of bloomer bread to share. We also shared the nachos for a starter which was a massive portion!! And we enjoyed the pineapple salsa too.

A good selection of my fave desserts on the pudding menu too but sadly not enough room to fit one in. Next time for sure 👀

Lovely visit to The Coppice in Middleton this week!! We ate at The Fig and Olive restaurant, I had the fish and chips with curry sauce which was delish 😍

The Coppice is definitely worth a visit, it’s like a garden centre on steroids! It has the restaurant, a deli and bakery/cafe, a homeware shop as well as other stores and boutiques. Can’t wait for another visit when they get all their seasonal bits and bobs out 🍂

Gorgeous day in Kenilworth today. Brunch at Coffee on the Corner, absolutely lush 🥯 Followed by a very wholesome few hours at The Creative Cafe 🎨 I painted a dog bowl for when Wolfie comes for his sleepovers 🥹 can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s glazed and kiln fired!! 🌸

Hot pot and Korean BBQ at Daiu in Coventry 🥢

Ad | Daiu is new to the Coventry food scene, taking over a location in Cathedral Lanes, and is the UK’s first hot pot and Korean bbq restaurant - it’s a must visit! We had the best time, there’s such a great selection of meat, seafood, veggies and noodles to cook, there’s also a sushi station (!!!) and unlimited ice cream and ice lollies. It’s really good value for money and such an experience getting to cook it all yourselves. Plus, it’s great to try some of the different options!!

Absolutely gorgeous 3 course meal at Marco Pierre White’s 🥩

Ad | I was kindly invited to MPW at Manor Hotel Solihull and had a stunning 3 course meal. Delicious starters, amazing steaks, and the best sticky toffee pud I’ve had in ages 😋 what a stunning location in the Manor as well 🥰 full food review to come next week!
