Hey wafflers!! It's time again for the Freeland Walleye Festival and we're so glad to be back! It's a guaranteed good time and we'll have our delicious homemade Belgian waffles available with all of your favorite toppings to choose from. Or try our take on the world-famous Monte Cristo or a chicken salad waffle sandwich - there's definitely something here to get you hooked. The Jalapeno Popper waffle is no snag, either. There really is something for everyone and we would adore meeting some new people this weekend so please share this post for us ❤️ You can catch something tasty with us even if you skunk out on fish, or you're skipping the scales and tails altogether. New Menu Items Today! Come see us at the Northwood University International Auto Show! In addition to our many breakfast options, we have homemade sausage gravy to top the waffle of your choice! 😋😋😋 For lunch, I've prepared a delicious chicken salad as well for sandwiches on the Liege waffle! *This does contain pecans* --might be a bit different than you're used to-- I seared a bunch of chicken breast and ripped it apart. Added chopped celery, green onions, cranberries, slivered granny smith apples and pecans. It was after 10 p.m. when I decided to torture myself and try a new recipe in attempt bring pumpkin custard on the trailer for you all starting tomorrow 😊 I've become America's Test Kitchen, which is fitting since that's been one of my favorite T.V. shows since my early 20's. The custard turned out delicious. You're gonna love it! Also, I'm gonna put together some more coffee custard for this coming weekend, as I've had a few requests ❤️ Keep in mind we will NOT be at the Market, but rather Northern Charm Farms for their 3rd Annual Fall Farm Day! We will see you in Clare this evening, rain or shine for the Clare Bands Showcase Event!! We will do our best to be open by 4:30p.m. but we can't get in to set up as early as we'd hoped so it may delay our open just a bit. Hello friends!! 🧇waffle talk🧇 ‼️‼️Our schedule will be in another post‼️‼️ We hope you all have had a great start to your week! David and I ended last week with Saturday at the Midland Area Farmers Market (Michigan). It was a beautiful day and what a turnout!!! Thank you to all who stopped out to try our products for the first time, we appreciate you entrusting us for your breakfasty/brunchy/lunchy needs and desires! And to those who have converted to serial wafflers, thank you so much for your continued support!! We left almost immediately after market on Saturday to boogie down to Detroit for some work AND play. It’s been a long while since we’ve spent much time together doing things other than work. For Christmas I bought David tickets to see the Teskey Brothers. The concert date happened to fall on Father’s Day so we made it a little get away since we had some business to attend to down there anyway. I've never been downtown Detroit so it was quite an experience. The concert was absolutely amazing; the Teskey Brothers are so, so good. We were seated with a really nice couple. We took a sketch cab ride back to the hotel..what do ya do? Lol The play part of the weekend was really great and 100% needed. We returned home yesterday after the "work" portion of the trip, stopping at a store called Restaurant Equippers downstate. I never mentioned this but about 2 weeks ago, the housing that rotates the stacked double press snapped and it’s been pretty shady acting ever since. It ultimately put us back to 4 waffle irons at times due to it’s inconsistency. We replaced it this weekend!! David is as happy about his new iron as I am about my prep cooler! It’s so awesome to see him light up over this 😊 OH! And we also got a new trash can for you all! I know that doesn’t sound super exciting, but it is!! 🤓 This one is MUCH bigger, and considering the size of the containers we are providing you all, we really needed more room for you all to dispose of them. 😁 The containers are another story. Just know we are having some supply issues with the 9" carryout containers and are working on alternatives. Thank you all, for everything. Be seeing you, 🧇❤️Desiree by @whataboutwafflesmi

Hi friends!!! I'm so excited to report that we have received our refrigerated prep table back from the servicer, Lashuay Refrigeration/Heating and Air Conditioning and she is working perfectly! We kicked butt cleaning and getting her ready for her first outing tomorrow. Her name is Bernice, by the way. She's super cool 😎🥶 This means that we have the ENTIRE other full size fridge to hold nothing but batter and dough. Our lives will be so much easier as long as we never have another fridge door mishap. I mean...Bernice is on wheels so this should be rather interesting keeping her corralled lol let's just see what happens, ay? AND...AAAAAND... We got asked to participate in Midland Area River Days Festival this year! No freaking wayyyyy!! We are so stoked for this!!! Riverdays is such a massive event and we still feel like infants in this adventure but it's all good; we've got this. The Strawberry-Banana waffle is going over so well!!! I'm so glad you're all enjoying this new one! I got this nifty little banana cutter and I'm loving it! It is a bit terrifying but so far, no incidents, all fingers present and accounted for. 🙌 **I think I'm gonna work on a ☕️☕️☕️coffee/espresso custard, y'all. What do YOU think??! Like, maybe giving some tiramisu vibes?** NOTE---I'd love to accomodate more things like pecans and peanuts and such but with the allergies out there it basically terrifies me to dive too deep, considering our limited space. We're just going to stick to the one nut butter (almond) for the time being. We will see you all tomorrow evening at Grace A. Dow Memorial Library for their Summer Reading Kickoff from 4-8p.m.!! Good evening, friends! We hope Monday was kind to you all ❤️ We are excited for our lineup of events; I've put together a list of locations and times where we can be found. We will be participating with The Dahlia Hill Society this Wednesday, June 5th for their Volunteer Day! So exciting!! We will be hanging out with Sawadee Midland for this event ❤️ Thursday, June 6th we will be hanging out with Corteva Agriscience from 11:30a-1:30p.m. Thank you Donice Hannegan, for this opportunity!! Friday -No Sales Saturday 6/8- Midland Area Farmers Market (Michigan) 7a-1p Sunday 6/9- Village of Sanford- Porte Park Concert Series kicks off 3p-6p. Monday 6/10- Food Trucks At Midland BP is welcoming us back - we will be there from 9a-3p. Tuesday, 6/11- Grace A. Dow Memorial Library kicks off their summer reading program. We will be open from 4p-8p. Sawadee and Zachzilla will be there serving for this event as well! It's gonna be a long haul getting through this grouping of dates but we can't wait to be a part of these events. It feels so good to know we are fulfilling a need/desire within our community and we are so thankful to have been asked to join in. Thank you so much to our hosts for these arrangements. We are excited to work with you all! *I also put together a calendar of upcoming events throughout the month of June. I will be adding to it as the dates fill up. I'm hoping this makes it a bit easier for our followers to find the schedule, rather than reading through my ramblings.
