my homecoming, thematically, is now complete with the bruise on my elbow.
I used to be constantly bruised as a kid, one because I was just clumsy and second because I was a tiny person always hopping and jumping to reach shelves and switches (I still have to do that at times). I still have scars to show for it and stories to accompany them.
I still have internal wounds from those times, stories of them but no scars to show. those wounds open themselves up again when I am here. and verily I’m happy to meet me, through times, again. by @whateverbani

winter winds are rolling into my hometown, the way that I did, silently and tiptoeing.
settling into beds like they belong to them. craving of ginger tea and fires.
the winds with the taste of a memory faded with time. smell of a forgotten nostalgic comfort. and an embrace of a lost friend.
when these winds are here I seek a home that no longer exists, a home where I am a child. by @whateverbani

- It’s a picture from earlier this year. A blissfully tired face of a great day. I asked a stranger (who was also alone) to click my picture and I returned the favour (one of my favourite things to do).
- this is the first post I’m making that I don’t HAVE to make.
- the last few weeks have been … raw, I quit the first job I had, I said goodbye to so many friends and a city I love, wished I met a few people sooner and more often, I reunited with a lot of relatives I didn’t realise I missed so much, and ofcourse I was sick for half of it.
- Why am I telling you all of this ? Because I’m happy to be here now, mostly because I choose to be here now and I would like to express myself more truly. And say thankyou
