as phantom goes into its last eight shows on broadway, i would be remiss to not pay homage to the brilliant original designs by maria björnson!
maria has been a huge inspiration for me as a multidisciplinary artist and the immense detail in all of her work, from the sketches to the scale models to the final products always leaves me awestruck.
i hope in the not too distant future, more productions bring back her stunning designs!

Surprise mid-week batch ‘o’ memes courtesy of @whatfinemarble.art ‘s meme brain and a post-Stolle pulse 3 meme dump!!! Credits to them for these ideas and stories which prompted these ideas…and yes I was texting them memes while they were stuck in the bedroom. Even when I’m not at Lee’s, I get my building reports…

P.S. One Less Lonely Girl was the suggested audio, I don’t make the rules 👻

quick little crosshatching study in ink and gouache of @jeremystolle as the phantom, who had his final bow in the mask two years ago today! the lighting in wandering child has always been one of my favourites and i’ve been overdue for some good old fashioned traditional art!
