I guess we could also call this a Barbie stack…I saw the movie twice and I enjoyed it! I need the ‘I am Kenough’ hoodie ASAP.

I hope everyone is celebrating this book holiday! I’ve been reading Carrie Soro is Back and I am LOVING it! ALSO, TSITP episode seven tomorrow!! That’s my lucky number so I’m banking on a magical episode here. I think I’ll also post my book series review tomorrow then too. I’m so so so excited.

some old pictures .*･｡ﾟ(◡ ᴗ ◡ *)

life has been super busy since my classes started again, so I sadly haven’t taken too many pictures! Therefore, I’m sharing some oldies from the beginning of this month!

Here’s a very delayed #whatthisweek …

what I’ve been doing━☆ﾟ.*･｡ﾟ
-lots & lots of studying! This is my junior year, and spring semester of Nursing School, which has a focus on Labor & Delivery and Pediatrics. There’s a lot of writing intensive courses, as well as detailed material, so I’m trying to stay ahead! My first clinical rotation was yesterday, and it was a fascinating experience on the Labor & Delivery floor!

I’ve also been chatting with Nia (@lovelettersbynia), which has been so fun!! I love this community and all of the relationships I’ve made on this corner of the internet ❥

what I’ve been reading━☆ﾟ.*･｡ﾟ
-I recently finished The Half of It by Madison Beer! I actually listened to this memoir through @audible on my way to class. The commute is an hour long so I try and use that time to get some pages in! I decided to pick this memoir up because of @lakynolmsted as her post about meeting Madison inspired me to understand her story better. I really enjoyed listening to the memoir, and it’s devastating to see how much we don’t know what happens in people’s lives behind the scenes.

I also recently started listening to The Woman in Me by Britney Spears on @audible which has a similar message to The Half of It. Both of these stories are devastating, but they help put the world into perspective. I’m hoping to finish this story by this week.

I finished Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens (@sophie_cousens)! I definitely rate this story a five stars! Sophie can always make me laugh with her books, and I’m looking forward to reading another one of her stories this year! I wanted to spawn Ted in my life when I was reading this book. I’m still working on it…

@lovelettersfromlakyn podcast!! I started watching the podcast episodes on YouTube and they are so fun! I definitely recommend this podcast if you haven’t listened or watched it yet!

saturday mornings ( ͡◡ ᴗ ͡◡)

Hello & happy Saturday!! I hope everyone is having a lovely start to the weekend. Today I’ve been taking time to reset and relax before classes start on Monday! Instagram still has a ban on my account, so I’m patiently waiting for it to be removed…

I’ve had a heavy heart the past couple of days thinking about the people and families who are suffering from the fires in California right now. I’m praying for everyone there, and for us, so we may have the ability to help. It’s hard to comprehend with all the snow I’ve had these past couple of days, that part of the country is in flames.

Staying optimistic in times of adversity is crucial, so I’m trying to stay positive for those that are struggling right now💞

I finished Winter Street by Elin Hilderbrand in December, and now I’m working my way through the second book: Winter Stroll!! Nothing like a cozy winter novel told on the land of summer retreats: Nantucket! @elinhilderbrand

I’ve wanted to start #whatthisweek for a while now so here we go…

what I’ve been doing━☆ﾟ.*･｡ﾟ
This week I’ve been working and getting ready to go back to campus! I’ve been trying to get back on a regular sleep schedule, but I’ve been failing miserably😅 other than that I’ve been at mass and spending time with my family whether that be game nights or watching TV!

what I’ve been reading━☆ﾟ.*･｡ﾟ
I finished The Three of Us by Ore Agbaje-Williams in the beginning of the month, and now I’m reading Winter Stroll by Elin Hilderbrand and Harmony by Whitney Hanson!

I gave The Three of Us a 3/5★ rating. I enjoyed the concept of the story, but it was a little repetitive at times. However, I will definitely read another book by Ore Agbaje-Williams! I love her writing style and the way her chapters flow!@oreawilliams

Harmony has been such a peaceful read so far! The words are simple but they have such an impact on me, especially when it comes with the struggle of losing someone ❥ @whitneyhansonpoetry

After finishing Big Brother I haven’t watched anything else! If anyone has any recommendations please share them with me!!

what I’ve been listening to━☆ﾟ.*･｡ﾟ
I’ve been on a Lana Del Ray kick recently!! I’ve been playing White Dress on repeat all week! I’ve also been listening to the @pageswithlexi podcast!! It’s so fun, and if you haven’t listened to it yet I definitely recommend you to!

I hope everyone has been having a beautiful start to the new year!! 🥳🥂 I’ve decided not to set any resolutions this year—besides my reading goal—but I love seeing what goals everyone else is setting for themselves! I find it so fun and inspiring to see how everyone’s lives are so different.

some fun things I got to do this week:

⊰I finished my first book of year!
⊰family game night ❀
⊰I finally finished watching Big Brother season 26 with my mom and brothers!
⊰after working all week I got two days off which I spent bundled up inside with some books ❥

Hello!!! I’m finally back!!

Nursing school has made me take so many breaks from things I love, including being involved in this community. I’ve missed you all so much and I’m so happy to be posting again!🥳🥂Final exams went well for me this semester, and I hope they went well for any other students out there. The struggle is real😵‍💫

The past couple of months were challenging with classes and work, but I am grateful and blessed for the people in my life and what I got to learn this year through it all. I also want to say thank you to everyone who reached out to me during my absence, and for all the consolation when my grandma passed away ❥

I’ve managed to read a little bit during the semester and I can’t wait to share what I’ve read with you all! I hope everyone who celebrates had a fun Christmas! I spent time with my family, and now we’re getting ready for the new year!

hello & happy Tuesday morning ( ͡◡ ᴗ ͡◡)

I hope everyone is having a beautiful week so far, and a lovely September at that!! I took my first exam of the semester yesterday, and now I’m back to reading more poetry! @pagesfromlexi recommended The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur, and I’ve been loving it, so thank you so much Lexi!! I’m also reading Love & Other Words by Christina Lauren!

I finished A Light in the Attic by Shel Silverstein a few days ago and I really enjoyed it. The poems were entertaining, and they got a few laughs from me, as well as the illustrations. I definitely recommend checking it out if you haven’t read it yet. It’s a lighthearted and short read, with a lot of valuable lessons tied to it.

The weather has also been getting cooler, which makes me want to sit outside all day and not move at all. I’m back to reading on my porch and drinking anything from hot peach tea, coffee, and an Alani Nu Witch’s Brew (aka the best)!!

kitty snuggles & books that make me cry!

I hope everyone has had a lovely first week of September! School is starting to pick up more so that’s been keeping me pretty busy! I’m loving seeing everybody make fall themed posts on here it’s really getting me in the fall spirit.

I spent the past week at my local fair which was so fun! It’s always so busy, but I love it so much. My family & I always submit arts & crafts for the fairs “competition,” so it’s always fun to go wander in those buildings and see how we did, and check out all the art!

Right now I’m still reading A Light in the Attic by Shel Silverstein! It’s a poetry book so I’ve been only reading a few pages at a time. It’s a nice break from all the reading I have to do at school. It’s such a fun poetry book and I’m loving it.

HAPPY THURSDAY!! 彡♡

It’s been forever since I’ve posted here, but I’m so happy to be back! I went into a book slump after I came back from vacation, and I didn’t read a single book in July :( BUT I think I got myself out of it recently and I finished Icebreaker and The Notebook so far this August!!

I’ve been spending a lot of time out in nature and with my family, and before I knew it summer is now ending. It scares me how fast time can move!! Classes started for me this week so I’m adapting to that change as well.

I am so thankful & blessed to have been able to experience such a beautiful month. Although I didn’t read as much as I wanted, I was able to spend time with my family and connect with the world around me. I’ve also been working a lot more this month compared to earlier this year. Thanking June for giving us such beautiful pink summer skies, the perfect summer reads, & the best music.

In June I discovered that I am in fact obsessed with the Star Wars world, and that I’m in love with Anakin Skywalker. I also am on a big poetry kick, so I’ve been book hunting for some poetry books. If you have any recommendations please let me know!! If there are any other Star Wars fans here let me know because I need someone here to talk to about it on here.
