POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Oh hey! 👋😃

I have a day off today so thought i'd say hey. Spinning some records this afternoon which has become a rarity recently.

Lots of cool stuff going on, most of which i can't share on social media.

Although i finally met my favourite band this year, and they were the most awesome individuals! I've got my top 3 albums of 2023 locked in, nothing's going to topple Protomartyr's 'Formal growth in the desert', but there are some big releases still to come so my 2nd and 3rd could still change!

I've added one of my reels from 3dassemble! onto this post where i documented the build process behind the making of the Protomartyr Punko's. There's also a reel with some of their performance at the Brudenell. All the video's are now available on my new YouTube channel 😎👇

Love this goofball 🤍🖤

Slowdive were incredible as usual last night in Liverpool, as were Whitelands. Rachel already knew how much i loved the Drab majesty e.p that she collaborated on, so it was no surprise that i rocked up with my copy for her to sign 😄

I always like to pay stuff forward, so i'm giving away the download code in the last picture to the first person who see's it 👀

Frustratingly i've missed ALOT of gigs as all of our money's gone into buying a house this year. But the one that stung the most was the Sugar re-union tour, that cut pretty deep.

But i'm having a little live show here with the 2020 RSD release 'Circle of friends'. It's one of my favourite live albums because it manages to capture the ferocity of Bob's live performances, if you find this out in the wild then i strongly recommend it 😎

There's no digital footprint on IG for this release, so i've added another live version of 'Makes no sense at all' to this post.

Doesn't seem like 4 yrs ago since i met my musical hero Bob Mould! I've been streaming pretty much all of his enormous back catalogue over the last couple of months whilst we've been in the process of moving into our new home!

But i'm going to run the needle through a few today, so apologies if you see multiple posts, i need a short rest today and this is the perfect excuse!

Also looking at picture no. three, should i start dying my stash, beard and brows again? 😂😂

Another slack-tastic banger from Kurt in 2026, the production levels on this latest offering 'Philadelphia's been good to me' pour out of every groove. It's a timeless addition to his ever expanding catalogue, makes me wanna visit Philly 😎

36 years old yesterday! 🫨

Happy (belated) birthday @rideox4official

An album that shaped a generation and made Loz one of my favourite drummers of all time.

Legit my favourite Dinosaur jr. album since Farm, there's some old and new tricks alike amongst these grooves. But what really stands out is the natural earthy vibe running throughout it.

File under : Happy spin

One of my top 10 albums of all time was FINALLY given the re-issue treatment last month! I almost laid down three figures for this leviathan last year 😅

Blur's Graham Coxon delivered his 5th solo album 'Happiness in magazines' produced by Stephen Street in 2004. It reached no.19 in the UK album charts and it was certified gold. It's a heady mix of punk, indie and sometimes blues with the phenomenal 'Girl done gone'. But every track on this album is here for a reason, a tour-de-force in song writing and track developement, i'd love to hear the OG demos ❤️

An absolute timeless classic.

Been a while! All being well, we'll move into our new house in the next few weeks. Lot's to unpack with recent events though, Trump being....well Trump as usual, some sad celebrity deaths. And the horror show that is the Argentinian football team and fans acting like a classless bunch of Gremlins towards the British by spitting and burning our flag in American cities.

But fear not! Great news is here!! @protomartyrband are releasing some new material on Wednesday, and i'm super pumped for it 🔥

Hope you've all been surviving the heatwave x
