It has been almost four weeks since I last saw you, since you were last beside me. Four weeks without you.

I have never felt such emptiness, nor have I ever carried so much uncertainty about the future. You were my greatest inspiration, my hero, my role model, and my mentor even during the times I didn’t want to listen.

I know I will be okay in time, but I also know that you will always be with me in countless other ways. Your love, your lessons, and your strength will stay with me for the rest of my life.
