🩰 ONCO-BALLET 2026 | ORANGE COUNTY 🩰

This one is incredibly near and dear to my heart ❤️

My mom, Terri Benincasa, was diagnosed with a rare form of stage 4 ovarian cancer in February 2025. She is currently on lifelong treatment and has already gone through 25 rounds of chemotherapy.

After her diagnosis, my mom discovered Onco-Ballet, and it quickly became such a meaningful part of her journey. This year, she will be one of the dancers performing in Onco-Ballet’s The Healing Power of Touch 🩰❤️

Onco-Ballet is a program created specifically for cancer patients and survivors, using ballet, movement, and community as a way to support healing and connection. The performance is made up of cancer patients and survivors coming together on stage to share their stories, strength, and resilience through movement. And you don’t need any previous dance experience to be part of the program.

Onco-Ballet was founded by Anna, a former professional ballerina and two-time cancer survivor, who understands firsthand both the power of dance and the physical and emotional journey of cancer. She created this incredible community to help cancer patients and survivors find strength, connection, and healing.

Over the past few months, I’ve also had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with Onco-Ballet, and seeing firsthand the community Anna has created has been truly amazing.

Watching my mom navigate everything she has been through while finding strength and connection through this organization has been incredibly inspiring. I couldn’t be more proud of her, and I’m so grateful to Anna and everyone who makes Onco-Ballet possible.
